Will Bam Knight Play in Week 11? Latest on Cardinals RB’s Injury Status

Bam Knight has been playing in an elevated role for the Arizona Cardinals during the 2025 NFL season, with their top two running backs currently injured. He has totaled 51 touches across their past four games ahead of their Week 11 clash with the San Francisco 49ers.

He will first need to overcome an ankle injury, which could jeopardize his availability. He appeared on the Cardinals’ first injury report of the week following their practice on Wednesday.

Bam Knight Injury Update and Week 11 Availability

Knight was listed on the first injury report for Week 11 with an ankle injury as the Cardinals prepare to take on the 49ers. He was only able to log a limited practice session on Wednesday when the team reportedly held a walk-through.

James Conner has already suffered a season-ending injury this year, and Trey Benson is currently on the injured reserve list. This has forced the Cardinals to alter their backfield distribution, with Emari Demercado joining Knight as their top options ahead of Michael Carter and D’Ernest Johnson.

Knight was limited in practice on Thursday and Friday. The Cardinals have officially listed the running back as questionable for Week 11.

Knight has exceeded 10 touches in each of their past four games, while totaling 222 scrimmage yards and two touchdowns. He has twice finished among the top 20 weekly running backs on PFSN’s Impact Rankings and has scored a 70 or better three times.

He has helped the Cardinals rank 19th in rushing yards per game this year, which is impressive considering they are playing without their top two running backs. They have also been without starting quarterback Kyler Murray, who is always a contributor to their rushing attack, in each of their past four games.

This list of significant absences, which also includes Marvin Harrison Jr. this week, is the reason why the Cardinals are placed last in the NFC West division with a 3-6 record. They are not yet out of the playoff race, but to get back into the mix for a spot, they will need to start accumulating wins.

Having Knight available will potentially help them do so, especially with a challenging schedule ahead. Their next four games are all against opponents who currently have winning records. Still, three of those will be played in their home stadium.

He has played in Arizona just once in his past four games since earning an elevated role in their offense. He set season-highs in the contest with 17 touches and 64 scrimmage yards against the Green Bay Packers.

#UPDATE: On Saturday, NFL insider Adam Schefter confirmed that Knight is expected to play in Week 11.

Arizona Cardinals’ Insights for Week 11

Team: The Cardinals have lost six of seven games and will face the 49ers, Jaguars, Buccaneers, and Rams in the next four games.

QB: Jacoby Brissett has thrown eight touchdown passes and only one interception in 156 attempts this season. His 1.3% career interception percentage is the best in NFL history for any quarterback with at least 1,500 pass attempts. Brissett has 25 interceptions on 1,917 pass attempts.

Offense: Arizona posted its lowest OFFi (68.8, D+) of the season in the blowout loss to Seattle in Week 10.

Defense: The Cardinals’ 77.0 (C) DEFi score in Week 3 against the 49ers is their second-best score of the season, behind only the 81.3 (B-) score against the Cowboys in Week 9.

Fantasy: Even in a game that was never competitive, Jacoby Brissett still managed 19.4 fantasy points against the Cardinals last week. The Cardinals’ backup QB has now outscored Kyler Murray’s best effort this season in all four of his starts, throwing at least 250 yards and two touchdowns in each of them.
