The 8-2 New England Patriots are hot this year, thanks to the play of sophomore quarterback Drake Maye and head coach Mike Vrabel. This week, the Patriots will face the 2-7 New York Jets in an intra-division matchup on Thursday Night Football, streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Coming into Week 11, Maye ranks second in PFSN’s Quarterback Impact metrics. He has developed nicely and has elevated the players around him, helping the Patriots rank eighth in PFSN’s Offensive Impact metrics. Players like Stefon Diggs, Rhamondre Stevenson, and Hunter Henry should have excellent games against the Jets. However, the Patriots will be without one of their top wide receivers this Thursday night.

What Happened to Kayshon Boutte?
Kayshon Boutte hasn’t missed much action this year; however, he injured his hamstring in the team’s Week 9 win over the Atlanta Falcons. Leading up to their Week 10 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, there was considerable uncertainty surrounding his availability, which ultimately proved unfounded, as he was unavailable for that game.
Through Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday this week, Boutte logged limited practice in hopes of getting ready for the Jets game. However, the injury report listed him as out for Thursday’s matchup.

If the team had a full week of practice and recovery, Boutte might have played, but with a short week, he is better off resting his hamstring. He will now aim to return in the Week 12 game against the Cincinnati Bengals.
With Boutte out, Maye will turn to other playmakers such as Diggs, Henry, and TreVeyon Henderson.
This season, Maye has thrown for 2,555 yards, 19 touchdowns, and six interceptions with a 71.7% completion rate. Additionally, he has added 283 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Diggs is in his first year with the Patriots after a one-and-done season with the Houston Texans. This season, Diggs has caught 50 passes for 554 yards and three touchdowns. He should play a vital role in Thursday’s game, with Sauce Gardner also out.
Henry is in his fifth year with the team. He has 30 receptions for 377 yards and four touchdowns this season, serving as a reliable safety blanket for Drake Maye.
Henderson should have a huge game after it was announced that Rhamondre Stevenson will also be out alongside Boutte. So far this season, the rookie has rushed 81 times for 430 yards and three touchdowns. Additionally, he has 21 receptions for 134 yards.
