As the NFL heads into Week 7, several teams are dealing with some significant injury questions. The first two months of the 2025 NFL season are about to end.
For NFL fans and fantasy managers, the injury list is critical for understanding who might be out or limited in the upcoming games. Here is a breakdown of the notable injuries and what you need to know about them.
Week 7 NFL Injury Report
Puka Nacua, WR, Los Angeles Rams
Update 10/17: Puka Nacua has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Update 10/16: Nacua was absent from practice on Thursday. Update 10/15: Rams head coach Sean McVay said that Nacua will not practice on Wednesday. On Monday, McVay said that Nacua is “considered day to day” due to a sprained ankle he suffered last Sunday against the Baltimore Ravens.
According to ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter, it’s not clear whether Nacua will be able to play against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday in London. During Sunday’s game against the Ravens, a camera caught Nacua encouraging his teammates to do better out on the field.

For the season, Nacua has 54 receptions for 616 yards and two touchdowns. According to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Rams have an 81.6 Offense Impact Score and grade out with a B-. As for the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Nacua has a 96.8 WR Impact Score and grades out at A.
Garrett Wilson, WR, New York Jets
Update 10/17: Garrett Wilson will not practice on Friday and will not play on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. Update 10/16: While there is no immediate update on Wilson’s condition, there’s a real possibility that he will not play this week. Dr. Jesse Morse indicates that “it’s not looking good” for Wilson and that he might not play at all. Update 10/15: Jets coach Aaron Glenn said that Wilson will not practice on Wednesday.
Wilson underwent an MRI on Monday, which revealed that he had hyperextended his knee. According to Schefter, a source told him that Wilson will miss “a couple of weeks.”
In the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Wilson has a 75.7 WR Impact Score and grades out with a C.
Trevon Diggs, CB, Dallas Cowboys
Update 10/17: Trevon Diggs is out on Sunday against the Washington Commanders after suffering from concussion-symptoms after an accident at home, Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer said on Friday, Cowboys reporter Jon Machota of The Athletic reported.
Kyler Murray, QB, Emari Demercado, RB, and Marvin Harrison, WR, Arizona Cardinals
Update 10/18: Kyler Murray has been ruled out of Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers. Jacoby Brissett will start in his place. It is expected that Murray will return as starting QB after the Cardinals’ bye week, Schefter reported. Update 10/17: Murray was working with practice squad receivers for the second straight day, according to Cardinals reporter Dani Sureck. Emari Demercado has been ruled out of Sunday’s game. Marvin Harrison, who has been in concussion protocol, is off the injury report and will play Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. Update 10/16: Murray was on the field for practice on Thursday. Demercado, who is dealing with an ankle injury, was not on the field during open practice time. Update 10/15: On Wednesday, Murray, who missed last week’s game because of a foot injury, returned to practice on a limited basis, according to NFL Network reporter Tom Pelissero.
CeeDee Lamb and KaVontae Turpin, WRs, Dallas Cowboys
Update 10/17: CeeDee Lamb will be a full go for Cowboys on Sunday against the Washington Commanders. KaVontae Turpin also will be a full go vs. Commanders. Update 10/16: Lamb was back on the practice field on Thursday along with Turpin. Update 10/15: Lamb took part in practice on Wednesday, according to Cowboys reporter Jon Machota of The Athletic. Schottenheimer was asked what he needs to see from Lamb in practice. Schottenheimer said, “If he’s breathing I feel pretty good. Honestly. CeeDee knows how to play football. If he runs around and catches a pass or two, I’m good.”

Lamb has been dealing with a high ankle sprain for the Cowboys. It’s kept him from being active for Dallas, but Morse said on Tuesday that there’s “a very good chance” that Lamb returns for a Week 7 game against the Washington Commanders.

Morse reminded people that Lamb probably will not have full explosiveness or a full range of motion when he’s out on the field. The Cowboys looked toward WR Brandin Cooks to take up the slack in last Sunday’s 30-27 loss to the Carolina Panthers. Also on Wednesday, Turpin was a limited participant in practice.
Stefon Diggs, WR, New England Patriots
Update 10/18: Stefon Diggs, who is listed as questionable with a chest injury, is expected to play on Sunday. Update 10/17: Diggs was a full participant at practice on Friday.
Trey Hendrickson, DE, Cincinnati Bengals
Update 10/17: Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said on Friday he was “reasonably optimistic” that Trey Hendrickson would be able to play next week against the New York Jets. Update 10/16: Hendrickson, who has been dealing with a back injury and was originally listed as questionable for Thursday night’s game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, is expected to be out of the game.
Josh Jacobs, RB, Green Bay Packers
Update 10/18: Josh Jacobs, who is dealing with an illness and a calf strain, is up in the air regarding his status on Sunday, Rapoport reported on Saturday. It will be determined pre-game if he plays.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, San Francisco 49ers
Update 10/18: On Saturday, the 49ers released Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Update 10/17: Valdes-Scantling was placed on Injured Reserve by the 49ers on Friday.
Joe Mixon, RB, Houston Texans
Joe Mixon is still on the Texans’ Injured Reserve list. He has been dealing with a foot injury since before the season started.
DJ Moore, WR, Chicago Bears
Update 10/17: DJ Moore will play on Sunday against the New Orleans Saints. Update 10/16: Moore returned to the Bears’ practice on Thursday in a limited fashion. But it’s trending toward Moore missing the Bears’ Week 7 game. Update 10/15: When reviewing what happened to Moore on Monday night, Dr. David Chao offered some insights on Wednesday into what might have taken place to land Moore in the hospital overnight.

Moore spent Monday night in a Washington, D.C.-area hospital after the Bears’ 26-25 victory over the Commanders.
On Tuesday, Bears head coach Ben Johnson updated Moore’s condition. “I think we got some good news in that regard…,” Johnson told Chicago radio station ESPN1000. “I think he’ll be day-to-day going forward. It was a groin deal that he was dealing with, but I think we’re going to be ok.”
In the PFSN NFL WR Impact metrics, Moore has a 75.6 WR Impact Score and grades out with a C.
Noah Brown, Terry McLaurin, and Deebo Samuel Sr., WRs, Washington Commanders
Update 10/18: Deebo Samuel Sr. and Terry McLaurin are now out of Sunday’s game against the Cowboys. Update 10/17: Samuel Sr. said “we’ll have to wait and see” on Friday when asked if he’d be ready to play on Sunday. McLaurin has been ruled out by Commanders head coach Dan Quinn on Friday for a fourth straight week. Update 10/16: McLaurin was not present at Thursday’s practice, according to Schefter. Update 10/15: Quinn said Brown was put on Injured Reserve with a groin injury for four games, according to NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport. Meanwhile, Quinn said McLaurin, who has been dealing with a quad injury, will return to practice this week. He was on the Commanders injury report and listed as limited.
Jalen Coker, WR, Carolina Panthers
Update 10/18: Jalen Coker has been activated from the Injured Reserve list and will play on Sunday against the New York Jets. Update 10/17: Coker, who has been dealing with a quad injury, is expected to make his season debut on Sunday against the Jets.
Khalil Mack, OLB, Los Angeles Chargers
Update 10/15: Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh said that the Chargers are opening the 21-day window for Khalil Mack, who has been dealing with a dislocated elbow, to return from Injured Reserve, according to Rapoport. The team has three weeks to activate him to the main roster.
Brock Purdy, QB, Ricky Pearsall, WR, and George Kittle, TE, San Francisco 49ers
Update 10/17: Brock Purdy has been ruled out of Sunday night’s game against the Atlanta Falcons. Mac Jones gets the start again this week. Ricky Pearsall, who has been dealing with a knee injury, has been ruled out as well. Update 10/16: 49ers general manager John Lynch spoke with San Francisco sports radio station KNBR on Thursday about Purdy’s potential to return as a starter this week. “We’ll see, was great to see Brock out there in practice (on Wednesday),” Lynch said. “Mac’s (QB Jones) been tremendous for us. Brock’s getting closer. Mac is running our team very efficiently in the absence of Brock, but Brock is our franchise guy and when he’s ready we welcome the opportunity to have him back.” Update 10/15: 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan said on Wednesday that Purdy, who has been dealing with a turf toe injury, and George Kittle, who has been dealing with a hamstring injury, will return to practice in limited fashion, according to NFL Network reporter Clayton Holloway.
MarShawn Lloyd, RB, Green Bay Packers
Update 10/15: On Wednesday, Packers head coach Matt LaFleur said that MarShawn Lloyd “is getting closer to returning to practice from the IR list, but it won’t be this week,” according to ESPN NFL Packers reporter Rob Demovsky.
Mike Gesicki, TE, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Update 10/15: On Wednesday, Mike Gesicki was placed on Injured Reserve with a pectoral injury. He’ll be out for four weeks.
Patrick Jones II, OLB, Carolina Panthers
Update 10/15: Panthers head coach Dave Canales announced on Wednesday that Patrick Jones II will miss the rest of the 2025 NFL season because of a back injury that requires surgery, Rapoport reported.
T’Vondre Sweat, NT, Tennessee Titans
Update 10/17: T’Vondre Sweat has been listed as questionable on the Titans’ Injury Report on Friday. Interim head coach Mike McCoy said a decision on whether Sweat plays this week will be made on Saturday. Update 10/15: The Tennessee Titans said on Wednesday that T’Vondre Sweat has been designated to return to practice, according to Titans reporter Jim Wyatt.
Emeka Egbuka, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, WRs, and Bucky Irving, RB, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Update 10/18: Emeka Egbuka returned to practice on Saturday and is listed as a limited participant due to his hamstring injury ahead of Monday night’s game against the Detroit Lions. He is considered a pre-game decision, Schefter reported on Saturday. Mike Evans also practiced on Saturday and also is considered a pre-game decision. Bucky Irving and Chris Godwin are out on Monday night. Update 10/17: Egbuka has reportedly been ruled out of Monday night’s game. Update 10/15: On Wednesday, Rapoport reported that Egbuka is expected to miss the team’s Week 7 game due to a hamstring strain.
Brock Bowers, TE, and Jakobi Meyers, WR, Las Vegas Raiders
Update 10/18: Brock Bowers is not expected to play on Sunday. Jakobi Meyers has been listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. Update 10/17: Bowers and Meyers returned to practice on Friday. Update 10/16: Meyers, who has been dealing with knee and toe injuries, is expected to practice on Thursday. Update 10/15: Bowers, who has been dealing with a knee injury, and Meyers did not practice on Wednesday, according to Schefter. NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero said earlier this week that Bowers is “unlikely” to play against the Chiefs in Week 7.
Carson Wentz and J.J. McCarthy, QBs, Minnesota Vikings
Update 10/17: Carson Wentz will start on Sunday with J.J. McCarthy as the emergency third-string quarterback for the Vikings. Update 10/16: Wentz is expected to get the start on Sunday. According to KSTP sports reporter Darren Wolfson, he “can’t imagine” McCarthy being ready for next Thursday night’s game against the Los Angeles Chargers. Update 10/15: Wentz, who has been dealing with a shoulder injury, was a full participant in Wednesday’s practice. McCarthy, who has been dealing with an ankle injury, was a limited participant.
Charvarius Ward Sr., CB, Indianapolis Colts
Update 10/18: Charvarius Ward, who suffered a concussion last Sunday in a pre-game collision, has been placed on Injured Reserve. He will be out for the next four games.
Zach Ertz, TE, Washington Commanders
Update 10/18: Zach Ertz, who has been dealing with shoulder and calf injuries, is listed as questionable but should be good to go on Sunday.
Walter Nolen, DT, Arizona Cardinals
Update 10/17: Walter Nolen will not be activated for Sunday’s game. Update 10/15: Rookie defensive tackle Nolen, who has been on the Cardinals’ PUP list with a calf injury, will have the practice window open for him, Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon said on Wednesday, according to NFL Network reporter Mike Garafolo.
Darius Slayton and Jalin Hyatt, WRs, New York Giants
Update 10/18: Darius Slayton will not travel with the team to Denver. Update 10/17: Darius Slayton is doubtful for Sunday’s game. Jaylin Hyatt has been cleared to play. Update 10/16: Slayton did not practice with the team on Thursday. Hyatt was a limited participant on Thursday. Update 10/15: On Wednesday, Slayton, who missed the team’s win over the Philadelphia Eagles with a hamstring injury, did not practice. Hyatt, who has been out with an ankle injury, was listed as a limited participant, according to Pro Football Talk.
Joshua Palmer, WR, Buffalo Bills
Joshua Palmer was injured in the second quarter of the Bills’ Monday night game against the Atlanta Falcons at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Palmer’s left ankle was injured during a play where he was taken down by what appeared to be a hip tackle.
No update on his condition was immediately available on Tuesday. Preliminary reports, though, indicate that Palmer might have suffered a potential MCL strain.
Omarion Hampton, RB, Los Angeles Chargers
Omarion Hampton suffered an ankle injury in a Week 5, 27-10 loss to the Commanders at SoFi Stadium. Chargers HC Jim Harbaugh announced last Monday that Hampton was put on Injured Reserve, meaning he’ll miss the next four weeks as of last week.
Braelon Allen, RB, New York Jets
Braelon Allen is on Injured Reserve for the Jets. Before the Jets’ game in London against the Denver Broncos, Jets head coach Aaron Glenn said that Allen was dealing with a “pretty significant knee injury.” He’ll be out at least four weeks.
David Moore, WR, Carolina Panthers
The Panthers placed David Moore on Injured Reserve two weeks ago. Moore suffered an elbow injury and will miss at least four games for Carolina.
Trey Benson, RB, Arizona Cardinals
Schefter reported two weeks ago that Trey Benson, the Cardinals’ RB2 to open the season, is on Injured Reserve after suffering a knee injury. Benson underwent arthroscopic surgery on his meniscus and will be out between “four and six weeks.”
Antonio Gibson, RB, New England Patriots
Antonio Gibson, who tore his ACL, was placed on Injured Reserve last Friday.
