Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is balancing a demanding NFL season with supporting his fiancée, Taylor Swift, during her latest album launch. In a recent episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce shared his admiration for Swift’s new album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” and shed light on her creative process.
Meanwhile, Swift recently revealed the elaborate story behind Kelce’s romantic proposal, showing a partnership that thrives in the spotlight and behind the scenes.
What Did Travis Kelce Say About Taylor Swift’s New Album?
During his podcast, Travis Kelce praised Taylor Swift’s newest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” calling it one of the most remarkable projects he has ever heard. With a smile, he celebrated her continued success and creative evolution. “She’s done it again. She’s put the world on tilt,” Kelce told his listeners, positioning himself as “the lucky man that gets to be the support system for Taylor while she drops one of the coolest albums that I’ve ever listened to.”
Kelce expressed his happiness for Swift, noting that her hard work paid off. “I’m happy for her. Everything seems to have gone perfectly,” he explained.
Having witnessed the album’s development, Kelce noted how Swift began formulating the project during her European tour, connecting all the pieces with strategic planning. He was particularly impressed by the final stages, recalling the moment she completed her 12th song.
“Her finally getting that 12th song and being like I think it’s done, you know,” he said. He also praised the collaborative effort between Swift and her label to make the album “one of the biggest releases of all time.”
The album has already achieved massive commercial success, selling 2.7 million copies in the United States on its first day alone. The 12-track project reportedly features several songs referencing Kelce and their relationship, making him a central figure in the narrative.
This public praise, however, is a two-way street. During a recent “The Graham Norton Show” appearance, Swift shared details about how Kelce orchestrated their engagement.
“He really crushed it when it came to surprising me,” Swift told the audience. Kelce cleverly used his podcast as a cover, asking her to record a guest spot for several hours. “Meanwhile, behind his house, he was having the whole back garden turned into this,” Swift revealed, describing the romantic transformation of his backyard.
While supporting Swift’s album rollout, Kelce has remained focused on the Kansas City Chiefs’ 2025 season. Through five games, he has recorded 22 receptions for 243 yards and two touchdowns on 30 targets. His performance includes a 37-yard long reception and an 11.0 yards-per-catch average.
According to PFSN’s Offense Impact (OFFi), Kansas City’s offense holds an 83.6 score, a Grade B, ranking it seventh in the league despite the team’s 2–3 record. In the Chiefs’ Week 5 game against the Jaguars, Kelce caught seven of eight targets for 61 yards and a touchdown in a close 31–28 loss.
