Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz led the celebrations as Spain defeated Argentina to win the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Ferran Torres scored the winning goal in the second half of extra time to help Spain win the World Cup for the second time.

The tennis world, along with billions of fans, watched the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on Sunday. Alcaraz went to New York to attend the game live, and it was another successful trip to the city for the two-time US Open champion as Spain overcame the challenge of Lionel Messi and Argentina.
Alcaraz was also involved in the pre-match ceremony. The Louis Vuitton brand ambassador helped bring out the FIFA World Cup trophy alongside South Korean actress Jung Ho-Yeon. His raw emotions and passion for Spain were visible throughout the match, and he later celebrated the win with a post on X.

Nadal also shared a video of himself celebrating Spain’s World Cup triumph alongside his friends. The 22-time Grand Slam champion is a big soccer fan and was also in South Africa to watch Spain lift the 2010 World Cup.

Other Spanish tennis players also joined the celebrations. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina shared his delight at Spain’s victory in the World Cup final.
