Recently, Pavlyuchenkova took to social media and announced the news of her engagement. She shared a series of pictures of herself and Mathias on a beach while flaunting her engagement ring.

“🤍,” Pavlyuchenkova captioned her Instagram post.

Reacting to the former World No. 11’s engagement, players such as Andreeva, Kalinskaya, Jabeur, Rogers, Krueger, Kim Clijsters, Rennae Stubbs, Clara Tauson, and Sorana Cîrstea, among many others, sent their love to the couple.

On the tennis side of things, Pavlyuchenkova’s best result in the 2025 season was reaching the semifinals at the Eastbourne Open. She defeated Viktoriya Tomova (6-1, 6-7(5), 7-6(7)), qualifier Kimberly Birrell (7-5, 7-5), and qualifier Kamilla Rakhimova (6-2, 2-6, 6-0) before falling to the eventual champion, Maya Joint (5-7, 3-6) in the semifinals.

In Grand Slam tournaments, Pavlyuchenkova achieved quarterfinal runs at the Australian Open and the Wimbledon Championships. At the Australian Open, she was seeded 27th and won against Yuan Yue (6-4, 4-6, 6-3) in the first round, then overcame Anastasia Potapova (7-6(2), 2-6, 6-2) in the second round.

The former World No. 11 eliminated Laura Siegemund (6-1, 6-2) and 18th seed Donna Vekić (7-6(0), 6-0) in the third and fourth rounds, respectively, before her campaign ended in the quarterfinals against the eventual runner-up, top seed Aryna Sabalenka (2-6, 6-2, 3-6).

At Wimbledon, Pavlyuchenkova started strong, defeating Ajla Tomljanović (4-6, 6-3, 6-2) and 31st seed Ashlyn Krueger (7-6(4), 6-4) in the first two rounds. She then triumphed over Naomi Osaka (3-6, 6-4, 6-4) and Sonay Kartal (7-6(3), 6-4) in the third and fourth rounds, respectively.

The former World No. 11’s run concluded in the quarterfinals, where she was defeated by the eventual runner-up, 13th seed Amanda Anisimova (1-6, 6-7(9)). In the other two Grand Slam tournaments, Pavlyuchenkova had early exits, losing in the first round at the French Open to Zheng Qinwen and falling in the second round at the US Open to Victoria Azarenka.
