“Another year doing what I love most, another year filled with sweat, laughter, pain, wins, losses, flights, new lessons, encounters, and milestones… I actually didn’t want this season to end. Two WTA titles, and my biggest one yet, in Washington, DC. And I love that I did it with all of you guys by my side. Thanks for your support all season long. I’m hungry for more, let’s keep going,” Fernandez wrote.

The Canadian tennis star concluded her message by thanking her father and coach, Jorge Fernandez, as well as the rest of her team, for their unwavering support. “I can’t end the year without thanking my team – without you, any of that would be possible. My coaches Jorge, Abdul, and Lauren, and my hitting partners, Federico and Jaume. With love, Leylah,” she added.
Fernandez put together one of the best campaigns of her career in 2025, posting a 34-25 record and collecting around US$1.65 million in prize money. She lifted two singles trophies, her maiden WTA 500 crown in Washington and another title at the Japan Open, marking the first time she won multiple titles in a single season.
