Jessica Pegula Extends Support to Buffalo Bills Ahead of 2026 NFL Season
Pegula was born in Buffalo, New York, to billionaire parents Terry and Kim Pegula. The WTA’s former World No. 3 has a strong connection to the city, as her parents are co-owners of both the Buffalo Bills in the NFL and the Buffalo Sabres in the National Hockey League (NHL).
Recently, Pegula, extending her support for the team, took to social media and reshared a post from the Buffalo Bills.
The Bills, who finished the season 12-5 after an overtime defeat to the Denver Broncos in the Divisional Playoffs, expressed their excitement to begin preparations for the 2026 season.

On the tennis side, Pegula began her 2026 season in Australia, competing in two tournaments: the 2026 Brisbane International and the Australian Open. In Brisbane, the former World No. 3 was seeded fourth and started her campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye.
Pegula defeated Anna Kalinskaya, Dayana Yastremska, and 10th seed Liudmila Samsonova before losing to the eventual runner-up, 16th seed Marta Kostyuk, in the semifinals of the WTA 500 hard court tournament in Brisbane.
At the Australian Open, Pegula, seeded 6th, eliminated Anastasia Zakharova, compatriot McCartney Kessler, Oksana Selekhmeteva, defending champion Madison Keys, and fourth seed Amanda Anisimova before falling to eventual champion Elena Rybakina in the semifinals.
In addition to her singles campaign at the Melbourne Major, Pegula also participated in the doubles event alongside Kessler. The American duo lost in the first round to the fifth-seeded pair of Gabriela Dabrowski and Luisa Stefani.
Where Will Pegula Compete Next?
Following the conclusion of the Australian Open, Pegula was scheduled to compete in Doha at the 2026 Qatar Open, but withdrew from the tournament. Looking ahead, the American is expected to compete at the 2026 Dubai Tennis Championships, scheduled for February 15 to February 21, 2026. The matches will be held on the outdoor hard courts at the Aviation Club Tennis Centre in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Last year, Pegula was seeded fifth at the Dubai Tennis Championships and began her campaign in the second round following a first-round bye. She defeated Liudmila Samsonova in her opening match but lost to Linda Nosková in the third round.
