Jessica Pegula announced a new addition to her family of dogs as she admitted to bringing another puppy home with her husband, Taylor Galaghan. The American tennis player already has three dogs at home, viz, Maddie, Des, and Lemmy. The new member of the pet family has been named Mabel, as the American announced on her podcast, “The Player’s Box”.
Jessica Pegula Is a Well-Known Dog-Lover
Jessica Pegula’s affection towards dogs is well-known as the American player has now four pet dogs at her home. Her newest pet, “Mabel”, is a German pointer, as stated by her on the podcast.
Pegula’s charity towards dogs is not limited only to her home, as she has an organization called “Lend a Paw” with her husband, Taylor Gahagen, which is dedicated to rescuing stray dogs and providing them with hospitable living conditions. She was also recently seen at a charity dinner for the organization, where her black dress caught the attention of onlookers at the event and online.

Pegula had recently lost one of her dogs as well, as one of her pets, Tucker, passed away earlier this year. After the incident, she posted a message expressing her grief and emphasizing how dogs were an integral part of her life.

Talking about her new dog, Mabel, Pegula was joyful, stating that she had just brought the pet home and that it was already up to its shenanigans. Speaking about her new pet, Pegula said, “Taylor and I got a new puppy. Her name is Mabel and she is a German short-haired pointer. Literally, just picked her up yesterday. So, we’ll see how it goes. She’s currently snoring a little bit in the background here. She’s a lil snorer. Hopefully, it doesn’t interfere. And unforced error, she already pooped on my breakfast area.”
Pegula started the podcast “The Player’s Box” with three of her fellow WTA Tour players: Madison Keys, Desirae Krawczyk, and Jennifer Brady. All members on the show are accomplished players on the WTA Tour. Krawczyk, in particular, is a notable doubles player, having been a Grand Slam runner-up in doubles and a four-time Major winner in mixed doubles. Brady is a former Grand Slam runner-up herself, and Keys achieved her best career milestone this year, winning the Australian Open.
Pegula herself had a fine season in 2025, winning three titles and advancing to the semifinals at the US Open. The American had reached her maiden Major final in New York last year, but lost out to Aryna Sabalenka.
