Jannik Sinner’s Head Coach and Girlfriend Highlight His Box at Monte-Carlo Masters

Simone Vagnozzi, who has been Sinner’s head coach since 2022, is a constant presence on the box. Since joining the Italian after his split from Riccardo Piatti, Vagnozzi is responsible for strengthening Sinner’s game and elevating him to the top of the ATP rankings.

Vagnozzi has previously worked with Italian Marco Cecchinato, who reached the Roland Garros semifinals in 2018, and Stefano Travaglia.

Sinner’s team also includes Umberto Ferrara, his fitness coach. Ferrara was first hired by Sinner in 2022, joining his team at the same time as Vagnozzi. He was an integral part of Sinner’s successful start to the 2024 season, which saw him lift his first Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.

However, Ferrara was fired from Sinner’s team in August 2024 for his alleged role in the Italian’s doping case. He worked with Matteo Berrettini for a brief period before being rehired by Sinner in July 2025. Since then, he has been an integral part of the four-time Grand Slam winner’s team.

Next up is Alex Vittur, a very close friend of Sinner and his agent. A former tennis player himself, Vittur closely monitors Sinner’s day-to-day activities and oversees the Jannik Sinner Foundation, which officially launched in September 2025.

Sinner’s father, Hanspeter, has been a surprise attendee this year in Sinner’s player box at the Monte-Carlo Masters. He rarely attends his son’s matches, but has been spotted in the box at Monte Carlo.

Sinner’s girlfriend, Laila Hasanovic, a 25-year-old Danish model, is also seen constantly supporting the former from the player box in the ongoing tournament. The two have been dating for almost a year and have been spotted together publicly multiple times.

He also had some high-profile supporters in the box during his quarterfinal victory over Felix Auger-Aliassime on Friday. Formula One star George Russell was spotted cheering for Sinner and also had a brief interaction with the second-seed after the match. Italian football legend Paolo Di Canio was also seen cheering for Sinner.

Sinner, who arrived here on the back of winning a Sunshine Double, has breezed past his opponents on his way to the top four. He has dropped just one set so far, and will look to continue his stellar form and book a place in the final.
