Fan Unintentionally Announces Iga Świątek As Wimbledon 2025 Winner 1 Year After Correct Prediction, Sends Tennis World Into a Frenzy

A bold social media prediction has fans buzzing ahead of Wimbledon 2025, and Iga Świątek has suddenly found herself at the center of it all.

In a thrilling twist ahead of the 2025 Wimbledon Championships, tennis fans are losing their minds after a social media user unintentionally “predicted” Iga Świątek to win the tournament.

The X user, known as @VenusGauff, set the tennis world ablaze in 2024 after correctly forecasting the Ladies’ singles winner for the Wimbledon Championships.

Iga Świątek’s Wimbledon 2025 Hype Traced Back to One Viral Prediction

Last year, this user made a now-viral prediction ahead of Wimbledon 2024, claiming that whoever was drawn against Veronika Kudermetova in the first round would lift the Venus Rosewater Dish.

Sure enough, Kudermetova faced Barbora Krejčíková, who hadn’t won a title since the 2023 San Diego Open.

Krejčíková stunned everyone by capturing the 2024 Wimbledon crown. It was one of the tournament’s most unexpected storylines, and the user’s prediction became something of a legend among tennis fans online.

Fast forward to 2025, the same fan returned with another bold claim, this time saying that Polina Kudermetova, Veronika’s younger sister, would be the key to predicting the next Wimbledon champion.

The original prediction was made several days before the official draw was released, and once the confirmation dropped, and Polina’s first-round opponent was revealed to be none other than former World No. 1 and five-time Grand Slam champion Świątek, it immediately began trending among tennis fans.

As soon as the draw confirmed Świątek vs. Kudermetova, fans began unearthing the days-old tweet from @VenusGauff and hailed it as yet another oracle-level call. Comments like “The stars are aligning,” and “IGA SWIATEK, WIMBLEDON 2025 CHAMPION HAHAHAHAHAHAHA,” began flooding X.

“IGA SWIATEK WIMBLEDON CHAMPION 2025 I NEVER HAD A DOUBT,” a user wrote.

Another user posted, “iga winning Wimbledon VenusGauff has manifested it,” while someone else declared, “It’s Iga’s time⭐️.”

One user shared a picture of Świątek with a shocked expression, while another posted a GIF of her lifting the 2018 Wimbledon Championships girls’ singles title.

The user’s track record doesn’t end with Wimbledon either. Back in 2023, they also correctly predicted the US Open finalists, Aryna Sabalenka and eventual champion Coco Gauff, before a ball was hit at Flushing Meadows.

Świątek, seeded eighth, is still chasing her elusive first Wimbledon title. She last hoisted a trophy over a year ago at Roland Garros 2024. Interestingly, on Friday, June 27, just hours after the Wimbledon draw was released, she reached her first final since last year’s Roland Garros at the Bad Homburg Open, where she awaits either Jessica Pegula or Linda Noskova. This is her pro career’s first-ever grass-court final.

Świątek is no stranger to the All England Club. She claimed the girls’ singles title back in 2018 and is making her sixth main-draw appearance this year. Despite her dominance on clay, grass has always posed a challenge. Her best Wimbledon run came in 2023, when she reached the quarterfinals before falling to Ukrainian wildcard Elina Svitolina.

With an 11-5 career record at Wimbledon, Świątek’s chances have always seemed strong, but now, citing this fan’s record of spot-on predictions, some are calling her the destined champion of 2025.
