Jannik Sinner’s and Casper Ruud’s Prize Money at The 2026 Italian Open
The 2026 Italian Open featured some sublime tennis and plenty of upsets, as several top seeds were sent packing early on, Rafael Jódar continued his red-hot run, and Luciano Darderi rode a wave of the Italian support to make it all the way to the semifinals.
Sinner and Ruud were the last two players left standing in the men’s singles event at the Italian Open. The two displayed some incredible performances en route to the final, and the title clash also lived up to the billing. For his triumph at the Italian Open, Sinner will also receive a large chunk of the tournament’s €8,235,540 (US$ 9.75 million) prize pool.
As the Italian Open men’s singles champion, Sinner will earn €1,007,165 (US$1.17 million) in prize money. For finishing as the runner-up, Ruud will receive €535,585 (US$622,724).
Daniil Medvedev and Darderi will each receive €297,550 (US$345,961) for reaching the semifinals in Rome. For their runs to the quarterfinals, Jódar, MartÃn Landaluce, Karen Khachanov, and Andrey Rublev will all receive €169,375 (US$196,932) in prize money.
The players who were eliminated in the fourth round of the Italian Open will all take home €92,470 (US$107,514), and those who reached the third round will get €54,110 (US$62,913).
In addition to the prize money, Sinner will also get 1000 ranking points for winning the Italian Open. Meanwhile, Ruud will earn 650 ranking points when the ATP Rankings are updated next week.
Sinner enjoyed a near-perfect run in Rome, dominant the tournament from start to finish. The world No. 1 cruised to the Italian Open title, becoming only the second singles player to complete the Career Golden Slam after Novak Djokovic. He has now also won the last six ATP Masters 1000 titles, an unprecedented run on the tour.
The home favorite was on top throughout his Italian Open journey, seeing off big names like Rublev, Medvedev, and Ruud en route to the title.
The ATP Tour will now turn its attention to the Hamburg Open and the Geneva Open as the build-up to the second Grand Slam of the year continues. Action at the French Open will get underway on May 24.
