Emma Raducanu responded to Carlos Alcaraz’s thoughts about their upcoming mixed doubles partnership at the US Open. The Brit reacted via an Instagram story that featured a post from the LTA. This came just a day after the Spaniard opened up about how he requested to team up with Raducanu for the tournament.

Recently, the US Open revealed the list of pairs in the mixed doubles event at the Grand Slam, and Alcaraz was paired with Raducanu. The Spaniard spoke about the partnership during his post-match press conference after defeating Adam Walton in the opening round of the Queen’s Club Championships.
Following the words from Alcaraz, Emma Raducanu took to her Instagram, posting a story featuring a picture of the two of them from the LTA. The 2021 US Open Champion captioned her story with a smiley emoji and tagged Alcaraz.

Speaking about his partnership with Raducanu, Alcaraz said that the Brit would be the “boss” when they walk on to the court.
“She gonna be the boss,” the Spaniard stated. “I’m super excited about it. I think it’s going to be great. It was an amazing idea for the tournament.”
Carlos Alcaraz Reveals He Made the Special Request to Team Up with Emma Raducanu
Alcaraz said during his post-match press conference at the Queen’s Club Championships that he requested Raducanu to team up with him at the US Open.
“I was thinking that I couldn’t play better if it wasn’t with Emma. I just asked Emma if she wants to play doubles with me. Yeah, I made that special request. I know Emma since a really long time ago, so we know each other. I have really good relationship with her,” the World No. 2 said.
A reporter asked him whether it was an immediate yes from Raducanu when he asked her about the partnership. He replied by stating:
“She took a while. No, not that much, not that much. But obviously she had to ask, and she had to think a little bit. But it wasn’t a minute.”
After beating Adam Walton, Carlos Alcaraz will take on compatriot Jaume Munar in the second round of the Queen’s Club Championships, with the winner taking on either Reilly Opelka or Arthur Rinderknech.
As for Emma Raducanu, the Brit is next scheduled to compete at the Eastbourne Open, which commences on June 23.
