Coco Gauff, Iga Świątek, and Eva Lys have all touched down in Stuttgart ahead of the 2026 Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. While Aryna Sabalenka has withdrawn from the WTA 500 event, they will be joined by Elena Rybakina, Elina Svitolina, and defending champion Jeļena Ostapenko, among others, in a star-studded field.
With the competition yet to begin, Gauff and Świątek took time to enjoy some lighthearted moments with Lys as they eased into their preparations.
Coco Gauff and Iga Świątek Build Camaraderie With Eva Lys in Stuttgart
After battling injury in Indian Wells and falling short against Aryna Sabalenka in the Miami Open final, Coco Gauff enjoyed a well-deserved break at home in Florida. She celebrated Easter with a hearty meal at her grandparents’ home and spent time with friends to recharge before the European clay-court swing. The American wasn’t fully removed from the tennis world, however, as she sent warm messages to Tommy Paul and Jessica Pegula after their title wins in Houston and Charleston, respectively.
Refreshed and ready to compete again, Gauff has begun her training for the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. While hitting the clay in Stuttgart, the 22-year-old bonded with Eva Lys over their mutual “obsession” with the popular show “Heated Rivalry.” She shared a picture of them swooning over stickers featuring characters from the show.
“So when does our heated obsession go away? @eva.lys,” Gauff posted on her Instagram story.

Meanwhile, Iga Świątek has arrived at the WTA 500 event in search of redemption after her underwhelming start to the year. The Pole will be looking to bounce back strongly after training under Rafael Nadal’s watchful eye at his academy in Mallorca while working with her new coach, Francisco Roig.
Ahead of her campaign, the six-time Grand Slam champion took part in a practice session with Lys. In a wholesome moment afterward, the German offered to take Świątek’s picture after her coach’s photography failed to impress.

While Gauff and Świątek are set to kick off their clay-court seasons at the Porsche Grand Prix, Lys will look to prove herself after her first-round exit at the Charleston Open, where she suffered a 5-7, 6-2, 6-0 loss to Katie Volynets. However, the German remained in high spirits and also received an encouraging message from Gauff, with Paula Badosa chiming in to show her support.
