Casper Ruud, who is in a relationship with Maria Galligani, recently shared how he had a surprising encounter with Taylor Fritz and his girlfriend, Morgan Riddle, during his bachelor party in Las Vegas.
Ruud and Galligani have been dating since 2018, and they got engaged in November 2024. In September 2025, they announced they were expecting their first child, a daughter born on January 30, 2026. Meanwhile, Fritz and Riddle have been together for nearly six years, having started dating in June 2020.

On the “Nothing Major” podcast, Ruud revealed that his bachelor party took place at a Las Vegas club. There, he unexpectedly ran into Fritz, who was in town with Riddle and some friends for the 2025 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix.
“You know, when I was there for my bachelor party, one of the first guys I met was Taylor Fritz. He was there because it was F1 weekend, and he was there with his girlfriend and some friends, and like I go into this club and Taylor Fritz is there,” Ruud said.
The former World No. 2 described the encounter as a “funny” coincidence, as both he and Fritz burst out laughing upon seeing each other at the Las Vegas club.
“I was like, ‘No way you and I are here,’ and then I just burst out laughing, and he, too, was like, ‘What are you doing here?’ It was kind of funny. So I’ve been partying with him in Vegas already. He has good connections,” he added.
On the tennis side of things, Ruud last competed at the 2026 Australian Open, where he triumphed over Mattia Bellucci, Jaume Munar, and Marin Čilić in the first three rounds, respectively, before being eliminated by Ben Shelton in the fourth round.
Looking ahead, Ruud will begin his campaign on the North American hard court swing at the 2026 Delray Beach Open, scheduled to take place from February 16 to February 22, 2026, at the Delray Beach Tennis Center.
The Norwegian is seeded second in the tournament and will start his campaign in the second round after receiving a first-round bye. He is set to face either Marcos Giron or a qualifier in his opening match.
Ruud and Giron have faced each other four times on the ATP Tour, with each player winning two matches. Their most recent encounter was in the second round of the 2025 Indian Wells Masters, where Giron triumphed 7-6(4), 3-6, 6-2.
