Carlos Alcaraz Expresses Happiness About Emma Raducanu Watching Him at Queen’s

The 2025 US Open has announced a stand-alone mixed doubles event that has thrown up what many think is the most engaging mixed doubles line-up ever in a Grand Slam. The participating pairs include Stefanos Tsitsipas, who will pair up with his girlfriend Paula Badosa. Alcaraz will, for the first time, share the court with Raducanu during the event.

Just days after the pairing was revealed, the Spaniard extended his active win streak to 17 matches by booking a slot in the finals at Queen’s Club. The Spaniard defeated Roberto Bautista Agut 6-4, 6-4 to secure a position in his sixth final at a tour-level event in 2025.

Alcaraz was asked about how he felt having the British tennis star in the stands. In his response, he said that he couldn’t speak with her and that Raducanu’s visit was not something they had planned beforehand.

“I saw on social media she came up to watch my match,” the Spaniard said. “I [am] just glad. I mean, I was focused on the match. I didn’t see her (smiling). Just glad that she came to support, to watch my match. Yeah, I think it was great having her in the stands,” he said in his post-match press conference.

Alcaraz will now face Czech tennis star Jiří Lehečka as he looks to extend his winning streak following his Roland Garros triumph.

Alcaraz Reveals Psychological Insight As His Winning Streak Continues on Grass

After winning his semifinal showdown against Roberto Bautista Agut, Alcaraz’s winning percentage on grass is now 90%, according to a report from tennis.com. While many tried decoding the technical reasons behind it, the Spaniard preferred citing a psychological one.

“I’m playing great tennis,” Alcaraz said. “After every match, I’m feeling more comfortable. Making the final here is so special once again. I love making the crowds enjoy watching my games. Whenever I put a smile on my face, I play my best tennis. I try to have fun and bring joy on the court. That is why I’m making good results,” he said, in a post-match interview.
