In a recent interview with beIN Sports, the former world No. 1 shared her thoughts on the leading contenders for the men’s title at Wimbledon, naming Alcaraz and Sinner as her clear favorites.
“I think you have to go with Alcaraz and Sinner; they’re the best right now, they’re the new generation coming up,” she said. “Sabalenka is a new generation. I have been through five or six generations, so I know.”
Jean King also mentioned that she hopes to see Novak Djokovic win another Grand Slam and add to his total.
“And now the Big 3 guys, except for Djokovic, but I’d like to see Djokovic win one more Slam, that’d be great. I wish it for him so he has the most Slams,” she said.

Let’s take a closer look at how Alcaraz, Sinner, and Djokovic have fared in this season’s grass-court Slam.
Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Novak Djokovic’s 2025 Wimbledon Campaign So Far
Alcaraz had an exciting start to Wimbledon this year. In the first round, he faced Italian veteran Fabio Fognini and came out on top after a grueling five-set battle. It was an engaging match, with both players delivering their best performances. Alcaraz eventually secured the win with a scoreline of 7-5, 6-7 (5), 7-5, 2-6, 6-1.
In the second round, the Spaniard secured a straight-sets victory over Brit Oliver Tarvet, winning 6-1, 6-4, 6-4. Then, on Friday, July 4, Alcaraz eased past German Jan-Lennard Struff in the third round with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 win, booking his spot in the round of 16. He’s now set to face No. 14 seed, Russian Andrey Rublev, on July 6 at Centre Court.
Top-seeded Sinner began his campaign on July 1 with a strong performance, defeating fellow Italian Luca Nardi in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, 6-0. He continued his dominant run in the second round, cruising past Australian Aleksandar Vukic with another straight-sets win, 6-1, 6-1, 6-3.
In the third round, Sinner faced Spanish player Pedro Martinez and claimed victory in straight sets, 6-1, 6-3, 6-1.
Djokovic gave it his all at the Australian Open in pursuit of a record 25th Grand Slam title but was forced to withdraw during the semifinals against Alexander Zverev due to injury. Now, back on the grass courts, the Serbian star began his campaign with a solid four-set win over Frenchman Alexandre Müller, 6-1, 6-7(7), 6-2, 6-2.
In the second round, Djokovic cruised past Britain’s Dan Evans in straight sets, 6-3, 6-2, 6-0. Up next, he will face fellow Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic in the third round on Saturday, July 5.
