Belinda Bencic vs Linda Nosková Preview: Head-to-Head, Prediction for Toray Pan Pacific Open 2025

Belinda Bencic and Linda Nosková will face off in the Toray Pan Pacific Open final.

Fifth seed Belinda Bencic will take on sixth seed Linda Nosková in the final of the Toray Pan Pacific Open. Both players had somewhat contrasting paths en route to the WTA 500 event’s title clash.

Bencic started the tournament with a 6-4,6-3 win over Varvara Gracheva and followed it up by eding out eighth seed Karolína Muchová 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 to set up a semifinal clash with 10th seed Sofia Kenin. The Swiss won the opening set via a tiebreak before the American took the second 6-3 to force the match into a decider. Bencic eventually won the final set 6-2 to reach her second final of the 2025 season.

Nosková, on the other hand, has had a relatively smoother run so far in Tokyo, starting her campaign with a hard-fought 5-7, 6-4, 6-4 win over McCartney Kessler. The Czech then faced Anna Kalinskaya in the quarterfinals and was leading 6-0, 1-0 when the Russian retired. She was set to face Elena Rybakina in the semifinals but the Kazakh withdrew from the match.

Bencic vs. Nosková Head-to-Head

The two have not had any prior encounters on the WTA Tour, so their head-to-head is currently locked at 0-0.

Bencic vs. Nosková Prediction

Both players have had identical records so far during the Asian swing, with Bencic winning eight out of 11 matches while Nosková won nine out of 12. So, we could expect a thrilling encounter in Tokyo.

Bencic hasn’t had the best of numbers on her first serve so far at the WTA 500 event, winning 114 out of 173 points (65.9%), with 13 aces to her name. The Swiss served ten aces in her last match and will look to fetch a lot more of them in the final. Her aggression and on-court movement will come in very handy, as will her versatility.

Nosková has won 61 out of 83 points (73.5%) so far during the Toray Pan Pacific Open, amassing 15 aces. The Czech is also a pretty good server and will aim to make the most out of it. She is a pretty powerful hitter and will look to attack from the start of the match. Eventually, it might come down to whoever makes fewer mistakes on court.

Nosková has a physical edge entering the match, as she did not have to play her semifinal while Bencic was pushed to three sets. However, Bencic’s experience might see her just about bag the win and clinch her second title of the 2025 season.
