Anisimova vs. Bencic Head-to-Head History
This will be the fifth meeting between these two players on the WTA Tour, and the head-to-head is currently locked in at 2-2. Bencic won the first time these two players met back in 2019.
Anisimova then came out on top at the Australian Open and Italian Open in 2022 before Bencic won in three sets at Indian Wells last year.
The season so far hasn’t gone according to plan for Anisimova, who has struggled to play with the consistency that saw her break through on the WTA Tour last year.

Anisimova holds a 11-5 win-loss record heading into this Round of 16 contest and has reached the quarterfinals at the Australian Open and the semifinals in Dubai, losing to Jessica Pegula on both occasions. At Indian Wells, she was beaten in the Round of 16 by Victoria Mboko.
Bencic made an excellent start to her season at the United Cup, winning all five of her matches. She has not been able to make a similar impact in tournaments since and has failed to advance past the Round of 16 so far this season.
The 29-year-old has enjoyed a strong start in Miami, comfortably dispatching Zeynep Sönmez and Diana Shnaider in straight sets.
Anisimova vs. Bencic Match Prediction
Anisimova has struggled with her serve at times in Miami, giving opponents multiple break-point opportunities. Her aggressive and high-risk style of play seems to leave her vulnerable to counter-punches, and that is where Bencic will hope to strike on Monday.
The Swiss star has been sharp on her returns, averaging 48.2% of return points won. That number climbs to 62.8% on the second serve.
However, Bencic has not shown much consistency in recent tournaments and remains vulnerable on her serve (46.9% win rate on her second serve).
Anisimova has also not advanced past the fourth round at the Miami Open and will be determined to change that this year. With the home-court advantage in her favor, we are backing the American to come out on top in what should be a close contest.
The PFSN Tennis Simulator gives Anisimova a 58% chance of winning this one.

Pick: Anisimova to win in three sets.
