Coco Gauff, Jannik Sinner’s Girlfriend, Sloane Stephens and Others React As Eva Lys Stuns in New Magazine Shoot

Eva Lys turned heads in Flaunt Magazine following early tournament exits, earning praise from tennis stars like Coco Gauff.

Eva Lys is turning heads off the court despite a difficult North American hard-court swing, where the 24-year-old German was unable to get past the first round in either Toronto or Cincinnati. She recently swapped her usual match-day gear for a high-fashion look, which drew enthusiastic reactions from fellow players, including Coco Gauff, Iva Jovic, Sloane Stephens, and Jannik Sinner’s girlfriend, Laila Hasanovic.

Coco Gauff, Marta Kostyuk, Laila Hasanovic, and the Tennis World React to Eva Lys’s Magazine Shoot

On Wednesday, Lys took to Instagram to share her feature in Flaunt Magazine’s “Chasing the Sun” Issue 205, where she appeared in a bold, oversized emerald-green suit. She captioned the post, “I’m sure there’s a lot of beauty to be had outside of the lines; right now though, tennis is allowing me a sentiment I’ve never had anywhere else.”

Two-time Grand Slam champion Gauff led the reactions, leaving two supportive comments on the post. Gauff first wrote, “wowww 🤩,” before following it up with, “no notes 😍 😍.”

Former US Open champion Stephens also showed her love with a green heart and a checkmark. Meanwhile, fellow WTA standouts were also impressed. Jovic hyper her up with a “well good morningggggg,” and Carson Branstine added a loud “YESSSS.” British No. 1 Katie Boulter wrote, “It’s a yes from me,” while Marta Kostyuk commented, “OMG !!!”

Hasanovic, a Danish model and girlfriend of the ATP world No. 1, also chimed in, dropping a fire and starry-eyed emojis. The official Tennis Channel account also stopped by to compliment her look.

Behind the scenes, Lys has faced tough physical challenges this season. She broke into the WTA top 40 in 2025, but a knee injury at the 2026 Australian Open sidelined her for two months this year.

More recently, she had to pull out of the Prague WTA 250 due to a flare-up of autoimmune spondyloarthritis, a condition she has managed since 2020. Instead of letting it stop her, Lys calls the condition ‘a strength that helps her slow down’ and appreciate her wins.

At both Toronto and Cincinnati, she could not make it past the Round of 128. However, Lys is quickly becoming a fashion icon off the court. She is currently the face of Lacoste Women’s Tennis and teamed up with the famous fashion brand Coach earlier this summer at Wimbledon.

Currently ranked World No. 92, Lys is looking forward to the US Open, which she calls one of the most exciting parts of the calendar, and aims to turn things around with a better result.
