What Happened To Bengals WR Tee Higgins?

Higgins went up to make a catch, but when he fell to the turf, his head slammed into it, and he was not moving much at all.

Bengals medical personnel came on the field to check him out. It’s possible that Higgins suffered a concussion on the play. He, in fact, has been ruled out of the rest of the game with a concussion.

The Bengals already had to go into this game without Ja’Marr Chase. While he’ll be back next week, it is a quick turnaround on Thanksgiving. If it is indeed a concussion, there is no chance Higgins will be able to clear the protocol.

It’s not ideal for Joe Burrow’s expected return if he’s without his WR2. This would elevate Andrei Iosivas back into the WR2 role. He did very little with it this week, filling in for Chase. In fact, it was Mitch Tinsley who caught the fourth-quarter touchdown to get the Bengals back into it, but he is not worth a pickup.

The Bengals are doing their best late to come back and beat the Patriots, but they’ll have to do it all without Higgins on the field.
