Nine weeks into the 2025 NFL season, it is hard to predict a particular team as the favorite in the league. Virtually every squad across the board has had some deficiencies, while holding their individually unique strengths. However, the mark of a typical contender remains the same: a balanced offense with a strong defense that complements each other perfectly, alongside an elite quarterback, seems to be the ultimate recipe for success.
This year, though, there hasn’t been such a team, at least not without some glaring flaws that could limit their chances. But one roster that may have flown under the radar so far this year is starting to peak at the right time, just as the playoff picture begins to take some clarity.

The New Super Bowl Favorites
PFSN’s Playoff Predictor has given a clear indication of what the bracket could look like by the end of the year. However, it also provides insight into how things could unravel once we reach the postseason, with its predictive Super Bowl odds.
Through the first half of the year, it was impossible to take a complete stock of where each team stood, given the limited sample size. However, nine weeks in, a consensus about each squad is starting to emerge.
However, in a shocking turn of events, the team with the highest odds of winning the Super Bowl is the Los Angeles Rams, at 10.60%. Since winning Super Bowl 56, the franchise has continued to remain a threat in the NFC.
But Aaron Donald’s retiring and a constant string of injuries have limited them to playoff appearances without deep success in the postseason. This year, though, after bringing back Matthew Stafford and replacing Super Bowl MVP Cooper Kupp with Davante Adams, they seem to have gotten back on track.
Rebuilding their defense through continuous hits in the draft has given them a unit that ranks third on PFSN’s Defense Impact. At the same time, the offense has been a top-eight unit on PFSN’s Offense Impact as well.
Stafford is arguably having his best season of his career, with a league-leading 21 touchdowns against just two interceptions for a career-best passer rating of 113.2, which has earned him some MVP buzz as well.
Their playmakers, despite parting ways with Kupp, have been excellent, with the elevated role bringing out the best in Puka Nacua, who is ranked first on PFSN’s WR Impact. All in all, the roster is deep, brimming with talent, and has been executing with near perfection under the leadership of head coach Sean McVay.
They might not have been a popular choice at the start of the year. But nine weeks in, their work has been undeniable. However, they aren’t the only teams with Super Bowl aspirations that have been performing at the highest level.
Here are the other teams with the best Super Bowl percentages on the Playoff Predictor:
- Buffalo Bills (10.60%)
- Indianapolis Colts (10.10%)
- Seattle Seahawks (9.10%)
- Philadelphia Eagles (8.70%)
- Denver Broncos (8.60%)
