Stefon Diggs Landing Spots: 4 Free-Agency Destinations for the 4-Time Pro Bowler After Patriots Release

Stefon Diggs remains the best unsigned free agent after his Patriots release, and four WR-needy teams stand out as ideal fits.

After the first week of the 2026 NFL free agency period, most of the top stars have already been signed. However, there’s one player who stands out as the crown jewel of veterans still available: Stefon Diggs.

Heading into free agency as the No. 7 overall player on PFSN NFL Free Agency Tracker, Diggs is now the unsigned top player after the top six players all found homes. Coming off a 1,013-yard season with the New England Patriots in 2025, the four-time Pro Bowler is a talented wide receiver with plenty left in the tank.

There are concerns regarding Diggs off the field, and at 32 years old, it seems unlikely he’ll get much long-term guaranteed money on his next deal. But plenty of teams could use another top pass catcher, and Diggs has a track record as good as anybody. These four NFL teams stand out as his best fits.

Tennessee Titans

As of this writing, the Tennessee Titans have signed nine of PFSN’s top 200 free agents. Splash moves like John Franklin-Myers, Cor’Dale Flott, and Alontae Taylor figure to improve their defense significantly. Though Wan’Dale Robinson and Daniel Bellinger stand out as solid additions on offense, it feels like that unit still needs a little more firepower.

It doesn’t help that the Titans have a history of being a “graveyard” for veteran wide receivers, so if Diggs is superstitious enough, he might avoid signing with Tennessee. That said, they still have over $74 million in cap space, so it could be worth throwing a lot of money at him on a short-term deal to give Cam Ward another strong weapon to throw to.

Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders have been very active in free agency this year, but a lot of their moves have come on the defensive side of the ball. They have a solid unit, ranking No. 12 in PFSN Offense Impact Scoring in 2025, but one can’t help but feel they need another standout receiver to pair with Terry McLaurin.

Deebo Samuel is still a free agent, and having averaged fewer than 50 receiving yards per game in three of his last four seasons, he’s firmly in complementary weapon range. Diggs would be an upgrade over what the Commanders had in the passing attack, giving Jayden Daniels another top target as he looks to bounce back from an injury-plagued 2025.

Baltimore Ravens

With how many contributors the Baltimore Ravens had hitting free agency this year, it’s no surprise they were unable to retain them all. That should help them get compensatory draft picks in the long run, but in the short term, it leaves their roster much more barren than it was in 2025.

Baltimore has lacked a reliable WR2 to pair with Zay Flowers since his emergence into the NFL in 2023. Diggs would provide a much-needed second option in the passing game for Lamar Jackson to get things back on track. It helps that he wouldn’t affect the Ravens’ comp pick formula, seeing as he was released by the Patriots.

Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts came into free agency with the goal of re-signing wide receiver Alec Pierce, and they managed to do exactly that. To afford his new salary of $28.5 million AAV, they had to trade Michael Pittman Jr. to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Now that the second wave of free agency is upon us, they could go searching for a Pittman replacement.

With over $42.2 million of cap space still left, the Colts have plenty of spending flexibility. They signaled being all in on being a contender when they traded two first-round picks for Sauce Gardner at the trade deadline. Though they faced some adversity, they need to double down. Diggs would give Daniel Jones a top weapon in their hunt for a Super Bowl.
