Mohamed Salah Transfer Rumors: Multiple Saudi Giants Form Beeline for Disgruntled Liverpool Star

Mohamed Salah is now on the radar of multiple Saudi clubs after his explosive interview following his team's 3-3 league draw against Leeds United.

Mohamed Salah has been at the center of the storm ever since his explosive interview following his team’s latest 3-3 league draw against Leeds United. He claimed that his relationship with Arne Slot had broken down and that he felt he had been ‘thrown under the bus‘ by the club.

Since then, his future at Anfield has been uncertain, and multiple Saudi clubs are reportedly in line to secure his services.

Mohamed Salah Courted by Multiple Saudi Clubs Amid Liverpool Unrest

Mohamed Salah was left out of Liverpool’s squad for their UEFA Champions League clash against Inter Milan on Dec. 9 as a direct result of his divisive comments against the manager. He penned a new two-year deal at Anfield just this April, but it seems that he could be on his way out sooner than expected.

As per TalkSPORT, NEOM FC and Aramco-owned Al-Qadsiah are believed to be interested in signing Salah, while Al-Hilal also maintain interest in the 33-year-old. He is reportedly viewed as the league’s next poster boy, following Cristiano Ronaldo’s expected departure in 2027.

Liverpool are expected to ask for north of $60m if they were to part ways with Salah in January, and it is believed they will not push for a mutual termination of his contract next month. He is also reportedly on the radar of MLS teams Chicago Fire and the 2025 expansion team San Diego, if he shows a willingness to leave Europe.

So far, Salah has plundered a mammoth 250 goals and 116 assists in 420 matches for the Reds since swapping Rome for Merseyside over eight years ago.

During that time, he has helped the club win multiple titles, including two Premier League and two Champions League titles.

Liverpool star hopeful Mohamed Salah plays again for the club

When asked to address Mohamed Salah’s explosive comments, Arne Slot gave no solid assurances about whether the Egyptian would play for the club again.

He said, “We are sitting here on the evening before a big game against Inter Milan. After tomorrow, we will look at the situation again [ahead of Brighton]. I am a firm believer there is always a possibility for a player to return.”

Alisson Becker hopes Salah plays for the Reds again, with the club set to face Brighton & Hove Albion in the league on Dec. 13. The Brazilian goalkeeper was his teammate at AS Roma before joining him on Merseyside in 2018.

“I don’t think anything [about the situation], but I hope he plays again for the club. That’s a personal situation between Mo and the club. As his teammates and his friends, we hope the best thing happens for him, but as Liverpool players we want the best for the club as well. We want a win-win situation for everyone,” said Alisson (via the Guardian).

The draw against Leeds saw Salah being benched for the third match in a row by Slot after the player’s poor start to the season, where he has managed just five goals in 19 games across competitions.
