The Baltimore Ravens narrowly defeated the Cleveland Browns 23-16 in Week 11, but the victory highlighted a potential problem for their offense. A key weapon, wide receiver Rashod Bateman, was sidelined after suffering an injury the previous week.
Unfortunately, Bateman will also not play in Week 12 against the New York Jets.
Rashod Bateman Injury Update
The ankle injury happened during Baltimore’s Week 10 win over the Minnesota Vikings on a “Hip-drop” tackle by defender Isaiah Rodgers. Because the NFL made banning that tackle an emphasis during the offseason, Rodgers was fined $17,389 for the play.
Following the injury, his availability has been a mystery. According to the Ravens’ official Week 11 injury report, Bateman did not practice at all last week, logging a “DNP” designation each day before being declared inactive for the Browns game. At this time, the only update on his condition is a “questionable” tag on ESPN’s injury report.
He was ruled out for Week 12, but there is a possibility that Bateman could return in Week 13 against the Cincinnati Bengals.
Before the injury, Bateman had caught 16 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns this season. According to PFSN’s Wide Receiver Impact metrics, he ranks 73rd at his position with a D- grade and an impact score of 63.0. With him out, the Ravens will rely on their other receivers to fill the void.

Baltimore Ravens’ Insights for Week 12
Team: Baltimore plays the next three games at home before finishing on the road for three of the last four games. The Ravens travel to Cincinnati, Green Bay, and Pittsburgh.
QB: Lamar Jackson has been sacked 23 times in seven games in 2025; he was sacked 23 times in 17 games last season. He’s been sacked at least five times in two games this season. Coming into the season, he only had three career games with at least five sacks.
Offense: Derrick Henry has 80.7 rush yards per game with seven rushing touchdowns through ten games. Last season, through ten games, Henry was averaging 112.0 rush yards per game with 12 rush touchdowns.
Defense: The Ravens achieved a PFSN Defense Impact score (DEFi) of 90.5 (A-) against the Browns in Week 11. This marked their highest score since Week 17 of last season.
Fantasy: Zay Flowers doesn’t get the hype of other WR1s because of how the Baltimore offense is structured, but the fact that he has 10 more catches than any of his teammates has targets this season makes him a weekly lineup lock.
