In Week 12, the Baltimore Ravens pulled off the win after almost being upset by the New York Jets. They won by a score of 23-10.
For a few weeks, the team has been without wide receiver Rashod Bateman after he suffered a high-ankle sprain due to an illegal hip-drop tackle against the Minnesota Vikings. Here is an update on his injury status ahead of the team’s Week 13 game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Thanksgiving night.
Will Rashod Bateman Play This Week Against the Cincinnati Bengals?
In the Week 10 win over Minnesota, Bateman was hip-drop tackled by Vikings corner Isaiah Rodgers. The tackle is illegal, so the NFL fined Rodgers $17,389.
On the team’s Week 12 injury report, Bateman did not practice all week. However, there is a chance for him to play in Week 13, as he was listed as a limited participant on Monday.
Furthermore, a Ravens reporter for ESPN posted the following:
“QB Lamar Jackson (toe), SS Kyle Hamilton (ankle) and NT Travis Jones (ankle) all returned to practice for Ravens on Tuesday. WR Rashod Bateman (ankle) is also practicing after missing two games. Not practicing: RB Justice Hill and DT Taven Bryan (knee).”

It sounds like Bateman can return this week, which is good news for the Ravens. They can use more receiving help as the team looks to maintain their new lead over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC North division.
In nine games this season, Bateman has caught 16 passes for 194 yards and two touchdowns. In PFSN’s Wide Receiver Impact metrics, Bateman ranks 85th with a letter grade of D- and an impact score of 62.6. Part of the reason for the poor production is that quarterback Lamar Jackson missed a few games this season, and the quarterback play that filled in for him was subpar.

Week 13 against the Bengals would be the perfect time for Bateman to return to action, and he could be in for a big game. In PFSN’s Defensive Impact metrics, the Bengals rank dead last in the league with a letter score of F and an impact grade of 57.3.
You can watch the Ravens take on the Bengals in an intra-divisional matchup this Thanksgiving night, Nov. 27, at 8:20 p.m. EST on NBC.
