NFL World Reacts to New Rams Uniforms

Earlier this morning, the Rams took to social media to post their new uniforms:

From the video, nothing looked to change that much, but when you look at a comparison between the new and old uniforms, those subtle changes are much more apparent:

As mentioned, the big changes to the uniforms are the numbers (from gradient to solid), the removal of the “Los Angeles Rams” patch on the left side of the jersey, and the change to a solid ram horn on the shoulder pads.

Even though the changes are subtle, the NFL world reacted positively.

NFL reporter Albert Breer posted, “It looks like a lot of teams are correcting past mistakes. Good development, for sure. And the Rams do seem to listen. Also, wouldn’t want to be the ‘gradient guy’ at Nike right now.”

Pittsburgh Steelers journalist Michael Beck adds, “The NFL has fixed a lot of the mistakes of the 2010’s uniform redesigns and the previous panel era.”

Fantasy Analyst and Researcher LaQuan Jones posted, “LFG. These are so clean!”

NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero said, “Another team going old school for new uniforms.”

NFL Network Reporter Steve Wyche wants to see the team bring back more old looks, posting, “The updated ones are sweet…but one day the Rams need to bring back the Fearsome Foursome white and blues.”

In a news release, team Chief Marketing Officer Kathryn Kai-ling Frederick offered reasoning for the uniform change:

“As we look ahead to the next decade of Rams football in LA, this refresh is about sharpening what already defines us. It’s a modern refinement — elevating our identity with clarity and purpose while carrying our history forward and matching the toughness, precision, and competitiveness of our team.”
