‘No One Else Is Close’ — NFL World Makes Feelings Clear on ‘Biggest Threat’ to Seahawks’ Super Bowl Repeat

NFL world deliberates on which franchise poses the ultimate threat to a Seattle Seahawks' Super Bowl repeat in the 2026 season.

Seattle Seahawks enter the 2026 campaign with a massive target on their back after winning Super Bowl 60. However, another season of success is never guaranteed, and the NFL world is already making it clear to Mike Macdonald’s team.

NFL World Names the Team That Could Shatter Seahawks’ Super Bowl Defense

Pro Football Network’s X handle sparked a debate on social media by asking, “Which team is the biggest threat to a Seahawks Super Bowl repeat?”

The fans and analysts have already started picking their favorites, and they didn’t shy away from announcing their choices.

Pro Football Network’s CEO Matt Cannata jokingly commented, “Dolphins.”

Unfortunately for Miami, the upcoming season will be the first year of their rebuild, as quarterback Malik Willis hopes to prove his worth under new head coach Jeff Hafley, and even finishing above .500 will be considered a successful season for them.

Motor City Tribune’s Smokin Jeremy B pitched three teams. He posted on his X handle, “Rams, Lions, Eagles, and themselves.”

Dan Campbell’s squad thrives on imposing its will. Their physical, run-first offense could tire out the Seahawks’ defensive front. Most importantly, with playmakers like Amon-Ra St. Brown, Jameson Williams, Jahmyr Gibbs, Aidan Hutchinson, and Brian Branch on their team, the Lions are capable of beating any team in the NFL.

Another user on X wrote in the comments section, “Cincinnati Bengals (and the Rams).”

Cincinnati gave up its No. 10 overall pick to land defensive tackle Dexter Lawrence from the Giants. The additions of edge rusher Boye Mafe, defensive tackle Jonathan Allen, and safety Bryan Cook clearly indicate that they want to make sure Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase are up and running.

A few agreed that the LA Rams would be worthy challengers. Pro Football Network’s Chief Operating & Financial Officer Matt Infante posted on X, “Rams. And Sam Darnold.”

Infante hinted that there’s a possibility that Darnold struggles to live up to the expectations after winning the Super Bowl, and if he plays as he did in New York or Carolina, it will be impossible for the Seahawks to defend their title.

Another user declared on X, “The Rams and no one else is close.” A second said, “As much as it pains me, it has to be the Rams, right?”

Blitz Sports Media’s Joe Sutphin also voiced the same opinion as he noted, “Rams.”

Rams pushed Seattle to the absolute brink in the 2025 postseason, dropping a tight 31-27 battle in the NFC Championship Game. They have since traded for Myles Garrett, as well as Trent McDuffie, and signed his former Kansas City teammate Jaylen Watson in free agency.

If their newly reinforced defense steps up to complement their top-tier scoring offense, LA can dethrone Seattle in the NFC West and ruin a repeat run before the postseason even starts.

Meanwhile, Seattle prioritized maintaining continuity, keeping its starting offensive line intact, including Charles Cross and Abraham Lucas. Veteran linebacker Dante Fowler Jr. and depth pieces like cornerback Noah Igbinoghene have been brought in to sustain a defensive unit that ranked 3rd, per PFSN’s Defense Impact Metric.

So, it remains to be seen whether the Seahawks’ top offense and defense will hold up to the likes of the Rams and Lions.
