The NFL trade deadline is quickly approaching as it’s set to arrive in the afternoon on November 4th in Week 10 of the 2025 season. Many names are rumored to be available for the right price as rebuilding teams look to sell, while contenders consider buying.
The running back position is one of the most interesting at this year’s deadline as several star players could potentially be on the move. An NFL insider recently dropped an update on the current status of some of them, including Breece Hall, Tony Pollard, and Chuba Hubbard.

NFL Trade Deadline Updates for RBs Breece Hall, Tony Pollard, Chuba Hubbard
When the NFL trade deadline approaches each year, many rumors begin to circulate about which players could potentially be dealt. Some of the indicators for potential trade candidates include those on expiring contracts and playing on teams that are either underperforming or rebuilding their roster. It can also bring up names of veteran players who have a potentially emerging replacement behind them on their roster.
The 2025 NFL trade deadline includes a long list of potential candidates, and the running back position is one of the most loaded. Hall, Pollard, and Hubbard are among the top options who could theoretically be a significant addition to a team contending for the playoffs this year. NFL insider Dan Graziano recently provided an update on the current status before the Tuesday deadline.
The players the Titans are fielding the most calls on:
– DE Arden Key
– LB Dre’Mont Jones
– RB Tony Pollard

“Which running backs could be available? Well, it sounds like the Jets will hold on to Breece Hall unless the return is good enough to justify a move (maybe a third-round pick)… It doesn’t sound like the Titans are eager to trade Tony Pollard, and even if the Panthers wanted to trade Chuba Hubbard (which I don’t think they do), he has a $4.5 million guarantee in 2026 that would make it tough to do,” explained Graziano.
PFSN’s Impact Rankings for running backs currently list Hall at 5th, Pollard at 27th, and Hubbard at 38th. Hall is on an expiring contract with the New York Jets, Pollard has been sharing the Tennessee Titans’ backfield with Tyjae Spears, and Hubbard has been outperformed by Rico Dowdle on the Carolina Panthers this year.
It makes sense why the three of them are NFL trade candidates this year, but Graziano’s update suggests that he doesn’t believe any of them will be moved prior to the deadline. Things can change fast, and if the right offer comes along for any of them, they could potentially join a contender looking to improve their backfields.
