The Vikings’ Playoff Odds and Current Draft Position, According to PFSN Analytics

Minnesota’s Week 11 loss slashed its playoff odds to single digits and pushed the team toward a projected top-13 pick in updated PFSN Analytics.

The Vikings needed Week 11 to steady their season. Instead, a 19-17 loss to Chicago pushed them further from the NFC playoff picture and reshaped their trajectory. Minnesota dropped to 4-6, the Wild Card race tightened around them, and their NFC North chances dashed. The numbers now point toward an uphill climb that requires near-perfect football for the rest of the season. They also point to something else. For the first time this year, the Vikings are pacing toward a top-13 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.

PFSN Analytics Show a Steep Drop in the Minnesota Vikings Playoff Odds

Minnesota entered Week 11 with a 22.4 % chance to reach the postseason according to PFSN’s Playoff Predictor. It was a fragile path, but it was real. Sunday’s loss cut that probability to 8.1 %, placing the Vikings near the bottom of the NFC field. The drop reflects both their own struggles and what happened around the league. Green Bay, San Franscio, and the Rams all won, creating a separation that will be difficult to erase over the next seven games.

The model also adjusted Minnesota’s expected win total. Before kickoff, the Vikings were projected to finish with 7.8 wins. After the loss, the number fell to 7.2. The shift is small but impactful. A team tracking toward seven victories rarely reaches the playoffs in this conference, especially in a season where the NFC has a dense middle tier of six and seven-win projections.

That is why PFSN analytics now slates Minnesota to pick 13th in the updated simulation. They hold a 32 % chance of picking inside the top 10. Unless Minnesota produces a dramatic late-season surge, the Vikings will pick much higher than anyone inside the organization anticipated.

Sunday magnified the Vikings’ issues. Minnesota’s offense entered Week 11 ranked 25th in PFSN’s OFFi. The offense struggled all day outside of the game’s final drive. While Minnesota’s defense (ranked 7th DEFi) kept the Vikings afloat.

Losing to the Bears was a significant setback. Minnesota is still evaluating its young quarterback and searching for consistency. Now the franchise must also recognize that a top-13 pick has become the most likely outcome.
