The Arizona Cardinals will face the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football for what could be a game filled with fireworks.
Cardinals coach Jonathan Gannon announced on Saturday morning that quarterback Jacoby Brissett will start, and he’ll get just about the best matchup possible.
The storyline all week has been the matchup between the Cardinals’ defense and the Cowboys’ offense. However, the Cardinals’ offense should be able to put up some nice numbers against a terrible Cowboys’ defense.
Which Cardinals Have the Best Fantasy Outlook?
Though the Cardinals’ offense hasn’t been anything special in 2025, they’ve quietly put up 50 points across their last two games.
Arizona’s offense ranks 24th in the NFL, according to PFSN’s Offense Impact, with a score of 70.8. However, the Cowboys’ defense ranks 31st in the NFL, according to PFSN’s Defense Impact, with a score of 58.2.
The Cowboys have been a team known for their high-scoring games this season, largely due to their putrid defensive performances and stellar offense, and that trend is expected to continue on Monday Night Football.
QB Jacoby Brissett
Brissett has put up solid fantasy performances each of the last two weeks against the Indianapolis Colts and the Green Bay Packers, which are two defenses ranked in the top half of the NFL, according to PFSN’s Defense Impact.
The Cardinals quarterback averaged more than 20 points per game, with nearly 300 passing yards and two touchdowns. Brissett did have one turnover in each game, but also added 19 rushing yards against the Colts and 26 rushing yards against the Packers.
Now, Brissett will get a Cowboys defense that is allowing the most fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in the NFL.
Dallas is allowing an average of more than 26 points per game to quarterbacks, which includes the likes of Russell Wilson, Justin Fields, and Bryce Young.
Simply put, Brissett should be starting in fantasy lineups. There’s no better matchup in the league this week, and the Cardinals game has the highest over/under of the weekend.
WR Marvin Harrison Jr.
If Brissett has a good day, receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. should have a good day as well.
The Cowboys also give up the most fantasy points to opposing receivers in the NFL, averaging more than 28 points per game to opposing teams’ receivers.
Harrison hasn’t had a No. 1 receiver-type fantasy year so far, but Monday night could be his breakout. Receivers are averaging 12 receptions for more than 100 yards and a touchdown against the Cowboys’ defense in 2025.
TE Trey McBride
McBride is a must-start every week. However, the only reason Harrison is above him is because of the Cowboys’ defense’s numbers against tight ends.
Dallas seems to cover tight ends the best among all skill position players. The Cowboys are giving up the 12th-least number of fantasy points to opposing tight ends, despite the rest of the offense thriving.
However, McBride has performed against everyone he’s faced this year, and that should be the same against the Cowboys’ defense. The Cardinals’ tight end is on a heater, scoring more than 20 points in each of his last two games.
Arizona is bound to get its best weapon, the ball, against the second-worst defense in the NFL.
WR Michael Wilson/WR Zay Jones
If you’re in a 10 or 12-team league and need a second or third receiver or flex option, Wilson or Jones could be the answer.
As mentioned above, the Cowboys are the league’s worst defense against receivers. I expect Harrison to have a big night, but if Brissett throws for 300 yards and three touchdowns, that could certainly leave room for a third option behind Harrison and McBride.
I would go with Wilson over Jones, but I wouldn’t be surprised if either one of them eclipsed 10 points in PPR leagues on Monday night.
Running Backs
The trend continues with the Cowboys’ defense against running backs. Dallas gives up the third-most points in the NFL to opposing running backs.
However, the Cardinals’ lack of a concrete plan at the position turns me away from starting any of Arizona’s backs.
If you need to play one of them, I would go with Bam Knight, who Gannon said will get the start. However, the Cardinals coach also said whoever has the hot hand will probably get the bulk of the snaps.
