2025 NFL QB Rankings: Daniel Jones Falls From No. 1, Matthew Stafford Makes a Big Jump

Week 10 of the 2025 NFL season has come to a close. Davis Mills took over for an injured C.J. Stroud, Jared Goff and Matthew Stafford both led blowout victories, and Lamar Jackson played well as the Baltimore Ravens kept their playoff hopes alive.

PFSN has you covered with your QB rankings for the 2025 season, as our QBi metric puts a numerical value on how each one performs every week. Note that these rankings only include the games played this year, not any previous games from other seasons, or factoring into each player’s reputation.

    38) Jake Browning, Cincinnati Bengals

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 49.2 (F)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 38

With the Cincinnati Bengals’ acquisition of Joe Flacco heading into Week 6, Jake Browning has since transitioned back into a backup role. Judging by how poorly he performed in relief of Joe Burrow, that’s probably for the best.

    37) Dillon Gabriel, Cleveland Browns

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 51.6 (F)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 37

In the Cleveland Browns’ low-profile matchup against the Jets, Dillon Gabriel threw two touchdown passes with no interceptions, adding 54 rushing yards on five carries in the process. He doesn’t rise in the QBi rankings, however, due to a 53.1% completion percentage and six sacks.

If Joe Flacco’s improvement in play with the Bengals since being traded from the Browns should tell you anything, it’s that Gabriel doesn’t currently have much to work with. That’s not to say he’s been good, because he certainly hasn’t. That said, he’s fighting an uphill battle as a rookie leading this offense onto the field.

    36) Cam Ward, Tennessee Titans

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 52.6 (F)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 35

Cam Ward’s QBi grade doesn’t change because the Tennessee Titans had their bye in Week 10. Generally, though, it’s been a rocky rookie season for the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

    35) J.J. McCarthy, Minnesota Vikings

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 55.5 (F)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 36

At this stage of his career, J.J. McCarthy can do enough to keep a talented Minnesota Vikings team competitive in games. He threw for 248 yards and a touchdown against the Ravens, and he also ran for 48 yards on five carries. However, he also threw two interceptions and completed fewer than half of his passes in the loss on Sunday.

The Vikings have now lost two of their last three games, though that one win was a key divisional upset over the Lions last week. McCarthy has shown flashes in the process, but he still has a long way to go, as evidenced by a -0.27 EPA per dropback average that’s the worst of any current starting NFL quarterback.

    34) Tyrod Taylor, New York Jets

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 56.1 (F)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 34

Tyrod Taylor has since settled into a firm backup role behind Justin Fields, so his QBi grade doesn’t change at all this week.

    33) Russell Wilson, New York Giants

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 60.1 (D-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 33

Having been benched earlier in the season in favor of Jaxson Dart, Russell Wilson returned to the field in Week 10 when Dart got hurt. Unfortunately for the New York Giants, Wilson was unable to keep their lead, as they ended up conceding a comeback victory to the Bears on Sunday.

    32) Bryce Young, Carolina Panthers

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 62.8 (D-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 32

It seems unlikely the Carolina Panthers will give up on Bryce Young as their starting quarterback this coming offseason, especially considering how weak the 2026 QB draft class looks. But at a certain point, you have to wonder if he’s ever going to become more than what he currently is.

On Sunday, Young threw for just 124 yards, an interception, and no touchdowns in a 17-7 loss to a lackluster Saints team. Carolina is still competitive in the playoff race at 5-5, but their quarterback play has been a concern this year.

    31) Trevor Lawrence, Jacksonville Jaguars

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 65.3 (D)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 31

Sunday’s matchup between the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Texans was an exciting game from start to finish, though not much of that had to do with the former’s passing attack. Trevor Lawrence threw for just 158 passing yards with a touchdown and an interception in the loss.

Lawrence has yet to reach a passer rating in the triple digits in any game this season. He’s also thrown for a completion percentage below 60.0% in four of his nine starts in 2025, further adding to his 33rd-best completion percentage among the 38 quarterbacks on this list.

    30) Spencer Rattler, New Orleans Saints

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.6 (D)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 30

Spencer Rattler didn’t play in Week 10, as the New Orleans Saints benched him for rookie Tyler Shough. The latter should find himself eligible for these rankings sooner rather than later.

    29) Michael Penix Jr., Atlanta Falcons

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 66.8 (D)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 26

The lack of firepower through the air has affected the Atlanta Falcons this season, and it came back to bite them in their loss to the Colts in Berlin. They scored 25 points, but Michael Penix Jr. was responsible for just 177 yards and a touchdown, completing only 42.9% of his passes in the process.

Penix has only thrown for multiple touchdowns in two of his eight starts this season, and Sunday marked his third game with under 200 yards passing. He’s had some encouraging flashes here and there, but the consistency isn’t enough for Atlanta to be a serious threat in the NFC South this season.

    28) Justin Fields, New York Jets

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 68.3 (D+)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 29

What a weird performance Justin Fields and the New York Jets had on Sunday against the Browns. He threw only 11 passes, completing just six of them. He ended the day with 54 passing yards, a touchdown, and an interception. Despite that, the Jets were able to pick up the win over Cleveland.

Fields now has four games with fewer than ten completions, though an injury and benching have played a role in that. He’s a dynamic enough player to make a big throw here and there or break away for a big run, but he’s not reliable enough as a high-volume passer to keep a depleted Jets team that just sold at the trade deadline competitive.

    27) Aaron Rodgers, Pittsburgh Steelers

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 69.1 (D+)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 24

Sunday night was a game to forget for Aaron Rodgers, and he fell a few spots in the QBi rankings as a result. In the Pittsburgh Steelers’ loss to the Chargers, he threw two interceptions and completed just 51.6% of his passes. He also had a touchdown and 161 passing yards.

The Steelers have lost three of their last four games, and Rodgers’ inconsistent play has contributed to that streak. He’s admittedly not getting much help from his defense, either, but he hasn’t elevated Pittsburgh’s offense to a new level, and Sunday was probably his worst game of the year.

    26) Joe Flacco, Cincinnati Bengals

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 70.1 (C-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 27

The Cincinnati Bengals had their bye week in Week 10, so Joe Flacco’s grade doesn’t change. He’s experienced a resurgence in play since being traded over from Cleveland.

    25) Carson Wentz, Minnesota Vikings

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.3 (C-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 25

Carson Wentz is expected to miss the rest of the 2025 regular season due to a shoulder injury. His grade will remain the same for the foreseeable future.

    24) Geno Smith, Las Vegas Raiders

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.3 (C-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 18

It’s pretty tough to come away with an impressive stat line as a quarterback when your offense only scores seven points all game. Needless to say, Geno Smith didn’t exactly wow anybody with his 143 yards, one interception, no touchdowns, and 60.3 passer rating in the Las Vegas Raiders’ loss to the Broncos on Thursday.

Smith has now thrown 12 interceptions to just 11 touchdowns this season, which is a ratio that every quarterback wants to avoid. His consistency has been a major issue: he’s had three games with passer ratings above 100.0, but also five with ratings below 75.0. Because of those highs, though, he’s the highest-rated QB with a negative EPA per dropback average.

    23) Baker Mayfield, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 72.5 (C-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 21

All things considered, Baker Mayfield had a pretty good outing against the Patriots on Sunday. He finished with 273 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions. It was his best performance in a month after two lackluster outings, but it wasn’t enough to give the Tampa Bay Buccaneers the win.

Mayfield has been the fourth-most efficient passer under pressure by EPA this season, but he ranks just 23rd in EPA average in a clean pocket. He started strong in 2025 but has since had some ups and downs.

    22) Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 73.4 (C)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 23

Tua Tagovailoa finds himself rising a spot in the rankings after leading the Miami Dolphins to a thrilling upset victory over the Bills on Sunday. He threw two picks in the process, but he also threw for two touchdowns and completed 71.4% of his passes in the surprising win.

With 13 interceptions in his ten games, Tagovailoa’s turnover-prone style of play has been a major issue for the Dolphins. Granted, there are many other factors at play in their poor season, but now that they’ve won two of their last three games, maybe they can start to turn a corner.

    21) Jayden Daniels, Washington Commanders

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 74.3 (C)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 22

Jayden Daniels missed Week 10 due to a dislocated elbow, and he’s expected to miss much more than that going forward.

    20) Marcus Mariota, Washington Commanders

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 74.9 (C)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 28

The Lions marched all over the Washington Commanders on Sunday, dropping the latter to 3-7 and continuing their disappointing 2025 NFL season. But Marcus Mariota wasn’t half bad, finishing with 213 passing yards, two touchdowns, no interceptions, and a 133.3 passer rating.

Mariota has been perfectly capable as a stand-in for the injured Jayden Daniels, and a solid game in a loss to Detroit helps him climb back up the rankings. Interestingly enough, his 0.5 EPA per dropback at the end of the first half is the highest average in the NFL.

    19) C.J. Stroud, Houston Texans

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.1 (C)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 20

C.J. Stroud missed Week 10 with a concussion, leaving Davis Mills to start in his place. Luckily for the Houston Texans, they still came away with the victory.

    18) Kyler Murray, Arizona Cardinals

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 75.2 (C)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 19

Kyler Murray didn’t play in Week 10, as Jacoby Brissett seems to have taken over the Arizona Cardinals’ starting quarterback job.

    17) Bo Nix, Denver Broncos

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 76.1 (C)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 15

The Denver Broncos keep stacking up wins, and Thursday’s game against the Raiders kept that trend alive. It hasn’t always been pretty, and Bo Nix’s inconsistency has been a reason why. He threw two interceptions and only 150 yards, but he still came away with the win.

Nix has been a perfectly capable game manager this season: nothing more, nothing less. That alone has been enough to keep the Broncos competitive with how good their defense has been this season. Whether or not that continues in the postseason remains to be seen.

    16) Caleb Williams, Chicago Bears

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 76.3 (C)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 17

In his second year in the NFL, Caleb Williams has led the Chicago Bears to three fourth-quarter comebacks in nine games. They haven’t necessarily been winning pretty, but he stepped up in the clutch to help Chicago come back from behind to defeat the Giants with 220 passing yards, eight carries for 63 yards, and two total touchdowns.

Generally speaking, Williams ranks in the middle of the pack in practically every advanced analytical category that PFSN has. That makes a No. 16 ranking a pretty reasonable slot. As he continues to hone his accuracy, poise under pressure, and arm talent, the Bears are in Wild Card contention.

    15) Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 76.5 (C)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 10

In the first game of Jacoby Brissett’s real run as the Arizona Cardinals’ starting quarterback, the results were a mixed bag. They lost the game, and Brissett completed just half of his 44 passing attempts. But he also threw for 258 yards, adding two touchdowns with no interceptions in the process.

As of this writing, Brissett has the fourth-highest third-down conversion percentage in the NFL. There have certainly been some encouraging games with Kyler Murray out due to injury, though it remains to be seen how Brissett will fare now that he’s been given the keys to the kingdom.

    14) Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.1 (B-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 16

Before getting hurt, Jaxson Dart had the New York Giants sitting comfortably with a lead over the Bears at Soldier Field. His team didn’t pick up the win, but he had a quality outing with 242 passing yards, six rushes for 66 yards, and two rushing touchdowns.

RELATED: List of NFL Head Coaches Fired This Season: Giants’ Brian Daboll, Titans’ Brian Callahan Among Those Let Go

The Giants have since fired head coach Brian Daboll, so it remains to be seen if that will have any impact on Dart for the remainder of his rookie year. However, he’s been a considerable upgrade at quarterback since replacing Russell Wilson in the lineup. Most notably, he’s third in combined third- and fourth-down conversion rate.

    13) Mac Jones, San Francisco 49ers

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 80.4 (B-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 14

Though the San Francisco 49ers got blown out by the Rams on Sunday, a lot of it was out of Mac Jones’ hands. If anything, he deserves credit for how he played, as he completed 84.6% of his passes in the loss with 319 passing yards, three touchdowns, an interception, and a 115.7 passer rating.

Save for a below-average EPA per dropback under pressure, Jones has ranged from average to slightly above-average in most of PFSN’s analytical categories this season. This matches well with his reputation as a capable pocket passer who usually falls under the “system quarterback” or “game manager” labels.

    12) Justin Herbert, Los Angeles Chargers

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 82.2 (B-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 9

Justin Herbert’s outing against the Steelers might not have been flashy, but it was enough to give the Los Angeles Chargers a comfortable victory. He ended the Sunday night matchup with 220 passing yards and a touchdown, improving the Chargers’ record to 7-3 in the victory.

READ MORE: NFL Fans React To Justin Herbert’s Performance In Chargers-Steelers Game

Currently in second with 2,610 passing yards and tied for the sixth-best clutch sum in the NFL, Herbert has put together a solid season for the Chargers in Year 6 of his career. There have been some minor bumps along the way, but he’s been an above-average starter, as he has been for practically his whole career.

    11) Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 82.4 (B-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 12

Since the Kansas City Chiefs had their bye week, Patrick Mahomes’ QBi grade doesn’t change after Week 10. It’s been another good season from the former MVP, all things considered.

    10) Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 83.3 (B)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 7

Dak Prescott’s QBi grade doesn’t change because the Dallas Cowboys have their bye week. He slides a few spots solely because of movement around him.

    9) Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 83.8 (B)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 8

Check back for Jalen Hurts’ updated ranking after Monday Night Football.

    8) Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 83.9 (B)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 6

He drops down two spots with a mediocre outing against the Vikings on Sunday, but the Baltimore Ravens are just happy to have Lamar Jackson back in their offense. Even if his 176 passing yards and one touchdown stat line isn’t his most impressive outing, he still led his team to a win, bringing the Ravens to their third win in a row.

Jackson is the third-most efficient quarterback under pressure with a -0.1 EPA per dropback under duress, meaning that he’s costing himself much less than the NFL’s other quarterbacks when the defense gets near him. He’s been cautious running the ball since returning from injury, so it remains to be seen if that will change down the line.

    7) Jared Goff, Detroit Lions

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 85.0 (B)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 13

The Detroit Lions have been a well-oiled machine for most of 2025, and that continued with their emphatic 44-22 victory over the Commanders. A big part of that win was the stellar play of Jared Goff, who had a 135.9 passer rating with 320 passing yards, three touchdowns, and no interceptions.

With a clean-pocket EPA of 0.55, Goff is the second-most efficient pocket passer in the NFL this season. He is what he is at this point: he’s hardly a quarterback who will extend the play with his athleticism or make flashy passes on the move, but he’s a precise passer with a high football IQ who can lead a clean offense.

    6) Matthew Stafford, Los Angeles Rams

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 85.2 (B)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 11

Even though he’s 37 years old, Matthew Stafford has positioned himself as a serious NFL MVP candidate this season. His performance in the Los Angeles Rams’ blowout win over the 49ers helps, as he went for 280 passing yards and four touchdowns with no turnovers to boost his team to a 7-2 record.

Stafford is fifth in the NFL in EPA per dropback, and he leads the league comfortably with 25 passing touchdowns. His 0.84 clutch sum ranks second in the league, behind only Dak Prescott. It’s been a tremendous campaign for Stafford in Year 17.

    5) Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 89.7 (B+)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 4

Josh Allen was much more productive than one would expect in a 30-13 loss. Even though the Dolphins caught the Buffalo Bills by surprise on Sunday, he still threw for 306 yards with two touchdowns and an interception, adding 31 rushing yards on four carries in the process.

Despite the loss, it’s not surprising that the reigning MVP has been highly reliable for the Bills this year. Allen ranks fifth in EPA per dropback, eighth in clutch sum rating, and sixth with 7.8 net yards per attempt.

    4) Drake Maye, New England Patriots

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 89.9 (B+)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 3

Though Drake Maye had a down performance on Sunday compared to what he’s experienced this season, that’s admittedly a pretty high bar to reach. He drops a spot in the rankings due to his 51.6% completion rate and an interception, though he also had 270 passing yards and two touchdowns.

As previously mentioned, Maye ranks second in the league in net yards per attempt. He also ranks fourth in EPA per dropback, and he’s the fourth-most efficient passer in the league in a clean pocket through this week.

    3) Sam Darnold, Seattle Seahawks

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 89.0 (B+)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 5

Sam Darnold only threw 12 passes on Sunday, and one of them was an interception. But on his ten completions, he finished with 178 yards (14.8 yards per attempt) and a touchdown in the Seattle Seahawks’ 44-22 blowout win over the Cardinals.

With 9.6 net yards per attempt, Darnold comfortably leads the NFL in that particular category. For reference, Maye is in second place with an 8.4 average. When you’re a whole yard ahead of first place, that shows just how efficiently Seattle’s passing attack has been moving down the field.

    2) Daniel Jones, Indianapolis Colts

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 90.5 (A-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 1

Depending on how Jordan Love fares on Monday night, Daniel Jones is at risk of losing his top spot in QBi grading after seven consecutive weeks at No. 1. That comes after he threw an interception and got sacked seven times in the Indianapolis Colts’ win against the Falcons in Berlin.

As one could expect, given his extremely high grade, Jones ranks in the top five in practically every major passing category that PFSN has in its analytics database. His season has been fantastic overall, but he’s coming off two down performances.

    1) Jordan Love, Green Bay Packers

    2025 PFSN QBi Grade: 91.9 (A-)

    Last Week’s Ranking: 2

Check back for Jordan Love’s updated ranking after Monday Night Football.
