NFL Insider Makes Case for Jeremiyah Love Having Ezekiel Elliott-Esque Impact for 17-TD QB

Albert Breer predicts Jeremiyah Love will go No. 4 overall in the 2026 NFL Draft to the Titans to help Cam Ward, who's coming off a 17-TD season.

It’s hard to believe, but we’re about a week away from the start of the 2026 NFL Draft, and now, appearing on “The Herd With Colin Cowherd,” NFL insider Albert Breer revealed where he believes former Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love will end up.

Breer Believes Jeremiyah Love Lands in a Spot To Help a Young QB

After the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, which will almost certainly be Fernando Mendoza going to the Las Vegas Raiders, there are a lot of question marks as to what players will fall where.

While Love has been a popular target for the Arizona Cardinals, along with the pass rusher that’s left between David Bailey and Arvell Reese, and one of the two top offensive linemen in Spencer Fano and Francis Mauigoa, Breer believes Love will ultimately land with the Tennessee Titans, per his comments on Cowherd’s show.

“I think for the Titans at 4, I think Love probably winds up being the pick,” Breer said. “I think the way you look at this is it’s an investment in your young quarterback.”

He went on to say that this pick would be viewed as an investment in their young quarterback, Cam Ward, citing examples of running backs helping quarterbacks in the past, such as Todd Gurley with the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams, Jared Goff and Ezekiel Elliott with the Dallas Cowboys, and Dak Prescott.

“You know what Todd Gurley did for Jared Goff in Los Angeles when Goff was a young player,” Breer added. “You know what Zeke Elliott did for Dak Prescott when Dak was a young player in Dallas. He can be that guy for Cam Ward in Tennessee.”

Love would certainly help out Ward, who’s coming off a 17-touchdown season with the Titans as a rookie, including 15 passing and 2 on the ground. Additionally, the Titans went 3-14, and he completed 59.8% of his passes for 3,169 yards. Ward finished with a PFSN QB Impact score of 59.8 last season, which was 45th in the NFL.

Furthermore, the Titans finished with a PFSN Offense Impact score of 57.0, the third-worst in the NFL, behind only the Cleveland Browns and the Raiders. So, it’s fair to say that a player of Love’s caliber would be a massive upgrade to their offense.

The Titans currently have a running back depth chart consisting of Tony Pollard, Tyjae Spears, Michael Carter, and Kalel Mullings.

Last season, Pollard ran 242 times for 1,082 yards and 5 touchdowns. He also caught 33 passes for 206 yards. He still has some production to provide, but 2026 is the final year of his contract.

So, should Love land there, he would provide another weapon to help take some defensive pressure off Ward, and he could work alongside Pollard in somewhat of a timeshare.

The Titans’ offensive line is far from complete, so we could see a scenario similar to what Ashton Jeanty had to this year with the Raiders, where it was hard for him to get going.

In fact, in a recent episode of “Football Debate Club” with PFSN’s own Cam Mellor and Jacob Infante, they compared Love to some other recent top backs, such as Jeanty and Bijan Robinson.

Love’s selection would be seen as a long-term investment, especially as the Titans prepare to move into a new stadium. Bringing in a player of his pedigree would help begin turning the team around under new head coach Robert Saleh.
