Who is available for the Bears and the Commanders when the second chapter is written in the Jayden Daniels - Caleb Williams rivalry?

The Chicago Bears and the Washington Commanders are two franchises likely to be linked to each other for the foreseeable future. Taking quarterbacks with the first and second overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, a comparison will follow Jayden Daniels and Caleb Williams for their careers. Last year, they had an instant classic that ended in a Hail Mary from Daniels. What will be the situation this time around?

However, six weeks into the season, neither team is fully whole. Here are the players who have already been declared out for the matchup.

After a slow start, the Bears are finding their footing with head coach Ben Johnson. Pulling off two consecutive victories into the bye might have been an ideal situation for a relatively new roster as they try to fix any lingering mistakes.

Their week six game, though, will give them flashbacks to last year, when they lost on a Hail Mary, beginning a 10-game losing streak. This time around, they’ll hope to reverse their fortunes and turn a new corner with Johnson.

Jayden Daniels’ return to the lineup gave the Washington Commanders an immediate boost, and they defeated the Los Angeles Chargers. However, keeping that momentum going will be a challenge when they face the Bears without Terry McLaren or Noah Brown in the lineup.

As a result, they will focus on the run game, where they’ll try to rely heavily on Bill. Jacory Croskey-Merritt, as he’s known officially, is ranked first on PFSN’s RB Impact, and he will look to exploit a Chicago defense that has been underwhelming to begin the year.
