Two NFL teams are enjoying bye weeks as the 2025 season heads into the stretch run.
Every NFL campaign is a grind and, with the season now 17 games long, the week of rest is additionally important for members of each roster in the league.
For the two teams getting time off in Week 11, they will be reflecting on very different fortunes to this point in the schedule.
Which 2 Teams Have Bye Weeks in Week 11?
The Indianapolis Colts and New Orleans Saints will have their byes this week.
Indianapolis’ week off comes of the heels of a long transatlantic trip to Germany to face the Atlanta Falcons in Berlin.
Overtime was required for the Colts to beat the Falcons, 31-25, in a thriller at the Olympiastadion, and that extra exertion should make them all the more grateful for the bye as Indianapolis prepares to enter the final stretch of its quest to parlay an 8-2 start into the No. 1 seed in the AFC.
The Colts are one of three teams with an 8-2 record, but they currently have the tiebreaker over both the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots because of their superior conference record.
New England will be expected to move into first place in the AFC with a win over the New York Jets on Thursday Night Football, while the Broncos host the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
Ranked first in PFSN’s Impact metrics on offense but a less impressive 15th on defense, the Colts will lean on Daniel Jones and an extremely talented group of skill-position players to help them achieve their aim.
The Saints also head into their bye on a high, though their record is the inverse of the Colts’. New Orleans’ 10-7 victory over the Carolina Panthers was only the second of the year for head coach Kellen Moore and his team.
It was the first professional win for rookie quarterback Tyler Shough, and evaluating what they have in the 26-year-old signal-caller will be a key focus for the Saints, who are firmly in the mix for the top overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
The Remaining NFL Bye Weeks
After Week 11, there are just two more weeks in the schedule where teams will have bye weeks, reflecting the shift towards the business end of the campaign.
There are eight teams still to have their bye, with four getting time off in Week 12. The remaining quartet will have their bye in Week 14.
