Dallas Mavericks Make Cooper Flagg Announcement
For the game against the Magic, the Mavs have announced that Flagg is listed as questionable.
Marc Stein of The Stein Line wrote, “Cooper Flagg has been upgraded to questionable for Thursday’s game at Orlando after missing Dallas’ past eight games due to a left midfoot sprain.”

Flagg was the first pick in the 2025 NBA Draft this past summer (after one season of college basketball at Duke).
He has gotten off to an excellent start to his pro career with averages of 20.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 48.2% from the field and 30.2% from three-point range in 49 games.

The Mavs came into the season with high expectations.
However, they have transitioned into a rebuilding year with Kyrie Irving still injured (and Anthony Davis gone in a trade).
MFFL NATION wrote (on Tuesday), “I can’t wait to watch Cooper Flagg, Kyrie Irving, Max Christie, Dereck Lively II, and a future lotto pick share the floor next season. We deserve it. We need it.”

The Mavs are the 12th seed in the Western Conference with a 21-40 record in 61 games.
They are in the middle of a four-game losing streak (and 2-8 over their last ten).
Following the Magic, the Mavs will play their next game when they visit the Boston Celtics.
As for the Magic, they are the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference with a 32-28 record in 60 games.
