Micah Parsons’ Brother Reveals Real Reason Behind Green Bay’s Offensive Struggles

Micah Parsons’ brother criticized the Packers’ struggling offensive line as Green Bay battles issues despite adding the All-Pro edge rusher.

Before the beginning of the 2025 NFL Season, the Green Bay Packers made a shocking move when they acquired Micah Parsons from the Dallas Cowboys. Through nine games this season, the two-time All-Pro has recorded 22 combined tackles, seven tackles for loss, 14 quarterback hits, and 6.5 sacks. Additionally, he ranks as the 14th-best edge rusher in PFSN’s Edge Impact rankings.

Despite his addition, the Packers are 5-3-1 on the season, behind the second-place 6-3 Chicago Bears and the first-place 6-3 Detroit Lions in the NFC North. Not only did the team add Parsons himself, but his brother had something to say about the team’s performance on social media.

Terrence Parsons Jr. on the Green Bay Packers’ Struggles

Like many family members of NFL players, Terrence Parsons Jr. shared his opinion on the struggles of the Packers. In a social media post, he said the following:

“O-line woes are the root to the offensive problems. It’s plain as day they just have to be better.”

It’s always awkward when a family member of an athlete is critical of their team on social media, but Parsons Jr. is right in everything he said.

This season, the Packers’ offensive line unit ranks 24th in the league according to PFSN’s Team Offensive Line Impact rankings. Their offensive line score is 67.8, whereas the average score is 72.3. This poor score gives them a grade of D+ in PFSN’s metrics. Despite giving up only 14 sacks as a unit, which ranks third best, the team is averaging only 3.9 yards per rush.

Their poor rushing attack is also magnified since they’ve only had 315 drop-backs this season, ranking them 26th in the league. Since drop-backs refer to the number of passing plays called, this means that the Packers rely heavily on the run; as a result, they only average 3.9 yards per rush, which is not ideal.

According to the Packers’ depth chart, their starting left tackle is Rasheed Walker, starting left guard is Aaron Banks, center is Sean Rhyan, right guard is Jordan Morgan, and right tackle is Zach Tom.

According to PFSN’s Player Offensive Line Impact rankings, this is where each player ranks at their position: Walker ranks 37th, Banks ranks 62nd, Rhyan ranks 60th, Morgan ranks 50th, and Tom ranks 18th.

As awkward as it is to have a family member call out players on your team, Parsons Jr. is right. The only lineman performing well is Tom, whereas the others rank towards the bottom of the league. If the Packers want to improve, they need to strengthen their performance in the trenches.
