USC is in the midst of yet another roster upheaval, with Eric Musselman tasked with replacing several key players. After an 18-14 season and failure to make the NCAA Tournament for three years in a row, this is shaping up to be a key offseason for the Trojans.

Here’s the latest on USC’s departures and additions in the transfer portal as they look to build a competitive roster for the 2026-27 college basketball season.

Players Leaving in the Transfer Portal

  • Gabe Dynes
  • Jordan Marsh
  • Amarion Dickerson
  • Jerry Easter II
  • EJ Neal Jr.

Dynes is leaving USC after just one year with the Trojans. The center started 6 out of 30 games for USC last season, averaging 2.9 points and 2.3 rebounds per game.

Marsh averaged 7.3 points, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.9 assists from the bench last season and has entered the transfer portal in search of his fourth college in four years.

Dickerson has entered the transfer portal after spending much of last season on the sidelines due to injury.

Easter also entered the transfer portal after an encouraging freshman year with the Trojans. He averaged 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in 29 games.

Neal Jr. played 18 minutes across 8 games for USC last season and has entered the transfer portal.

Confirmed Departures

  • Ryan Cornish
  • Chad Baker-Mazara

After spending his fifth year of college basketball with USC, Cornish is now out of eligibility. He averaged 2.4 points, 0.7 rebounds, and 0.8 assists for the Trojans last season.

Baker-Mazara was USC’s top scorer last season, averaging 18.5 points. But he was dismissed from the team in March and has since departed the program.

Key USC Players With Remaining Eligibility

Rice is returning to USC for his senior year after spending much of last season out with a shoulder injury. In 6 appearances for the Trojans last season, the guard averaged 20.3 points, 6.0 assists, and 3.3 rebounds.

Arenas is still weighing up whether to return to USC or declare for the NBA Draft. The guard made a big impact during his freshman year, averaging 14.1 points and 2.9 rebounds in 14 games.

Cofie joined USC last season and made a strong impact, averaging 9.9 points and 6.8 rebounds while shooting 51% from the field.

  • Darius Ratliff

Reibe arrives from UConn, where he enjoyed an encouraging freshman year. The 7-foot-1 highly-rated center averaged 5.9 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 13.8 minutes in 40 appearances for the Huskies.

Lewis arrives from Georgetown after leading the Hoyas in scoring in his junior year. He averaged 14.9 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.5 assists last season.

Collins is a 2026 McDonald’s All-American who is part of USC’s 2026 recruiting class. The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 26.1 points, 9.6 rebounds, and 3.5 assists per game for St. John Bosco High School last season. The Ratliff brothers signed with USC in November. Both players are widely regarded as four-star recruits.
