Crosby is one of the best defensive players in the NFL, and at 28, he is also one of the most sought-after assets on the market. This is why the Ravens initially sent two first-round picks to get the deal done with the Raiders.
Now, with the trade no longer happening, there’s a very real chance that the Raiders won’t be able to get that type of value in another trade for Crosby.
This was a major blow to the Raiders’ offseason plans and rebuild, as they no longer have the two first-round picks from the Ravens. Also, they needed to figure out what to do with Crosby.
Well, Crosby himself may have just revealed that decision. Crosby posted on X a clear message to the league that he is back in Las Vegas, and he will be staying there moving forward.

This was a shocking announcement from Crosby, as many believed this would not happen. The relationship between the two sides seemed to be in an irreparable place, but now Crosby will apparently play for the Raiders again.
This lines up with recent reports from NFL insiders that the Raiders are planning to hold onto Crosby going forward. At first, these reports seemed to be a leverage play by Las Vegas to improve Crosby’s value in trade talks, but now, it seems those reports were true from the beginning.
With Crosby back in Las Vegas, the team could be set to make a massive jump in 2026. Players like Ashton Jeanty and Brock Bowers are already on the roster, they hired a new talented head coach in Klint Kubiak, they are expected to draft Fernando Mendoza with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. Now, they will have Crosby dominating on defense once again.
Last season, Crosby ranked second in PFSN’s EDGE Impact Metric with a 95.3 grade (trailing only Cleveland Browns superstar Myles Garrett, who posted a 95.6 EDGEi grade). During the previous season, Crosby finished No. 1. The injury will be a concern, but past injuries have not slowed him down, and the Ravens’ decision to back out of the blockbuster trade has given a player who does not need more motivation an additional chip on his shoulder.
