The Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers will meet in a game with huge playoff implications. John Harbaugh’s team and the Steelers both have a 6-6 record, and a win on Sunday will be crucial in the run for the AFC North.
Unfortunately, the Ravens might not have their most important player on the field for that can’t-lose matchup.
Lamar Jackson Misses Another Practice Ahead of Steelers Matchup
According to a report by ESPN insider Jamison Hensley, two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson wasn’t at practice on Thursday. He was limited on Wednesday, which is not a good sign, considering his availability for Sunday.
Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is not practicing Thursday.
He was limited Wednesday with an ankle injury. This marks the 4th straight week where Jackson has missed at least one practice.
Tyler Huntley would start Sunday against the Steelers if Jackson is unable to play.

“Ravens QB Lamar Jackson is not practicing Thursday. He was limited Wednesday with an ankle injury. This marks the 4th straight week where Jackson has missed at least one practice. Tyler Huntley would start Sunday against the Steelers if Jackson is unable to play,” Hensley wrote on X.
Jackson has had to deal with multiple lower-body issues this season. The Louisville product even missed three games with a hamstring injury, with Tyler Huntley taking the reins of the team in his absence.
Huntley, however, is a major drop-off for Harbaugh’s team, especially going against a Steelers team that will be eager to get back on track after a disappointing 26-7 home loss to the Buffalo Bills.
John Harbaugh Isn’t Worried About Lamar Jackson’s Accuracy Issues
Even if he plays, Jackson needs to be better than he’s been lately. He has a 73.2 PFSN impact metric, which ranks 22nd in the league, and that’s far below expectations for a player of his caliber.
His accuracy has dipped since he returned from injury, and even though his coach still believes in his ability to get back on track, the Ravens have little to no margin for error right now:
“That’s just kind of what sports is, I do think you’re going to have an off day sometimes, and that’s not something that you take lightly,” Harbaugh told the media earlier in the week. “Lamar doesn’t take it lightly more than anybody. You go back to work, practice, you study it, and you work together to be as precise as you can.”
The Steelers are down, but head coach Mike Tomlin has made a living out of winning games he was supposed to lose.
And with Jackson’s health being a concern, expect the Steelers’ defense to put pressure on him early and often on Sunday.
