The NFL offseason carousel will start spinning again the moment Super Bowl 60 ends.
With Seahawks offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak expected to depart for the Raiders’ head coaching job, attention is already turning toward which assistants might follow him out of the Pacific Northwest.
Klint Kubiak’s Exit Could Open Door for Familiar Faces
ESPN reported this week that coaching dominoes are likely to fall in Seattle once the championship game concludes.
Kubiak is headed to Las Vegas and will need to assemble an offensive staff quickly. One name drawing immediate interest is Seahawks quarterbacks coach Andrew Janocko, who has a long history working alongside Kubiak in Minnesota, New Orleans, and Seattle.
That familiarity makes Janocko a logical candidate to join the Raiders in a larger role, potentially as offensive coordinator. ESPN noted that Janocko is also a candidate to remain in Seattle if the organization opts for internal continuity after Kubiak’s departure.

Another option for Kubiak is Seahawks offensive passing game coordinator Jake Peetz. The veteran assistant has been part of multiple coordinator searches in recent years and is expected to draw attention again this cycle. Running backs coach Justin Outten is also viewed in league circles as a coach capable of stepping into a bigger role.
The Seahawks offense blossomed under Kubiak’s guidance this season. According to PFSN’s OFFi metric, Seattle’s offense ranked ninth. Quarterback Sam Darnold boomed under the Seahawks’ run-first approach and aggressive downfield passing game. Darnold finished the regular season ranked 13th in PFSN’s QBi metric.
Several members of Kubiak’s staff are now positioned for promotions. The next few weeks will determine whether that movement happens within Seattle or if they follow Kubiak to Las Vegas.
Las Vegas Raiders Rebuild Hinges on Staff Decisions
The Raiders are preparing for a pivotal offseason, and Kubiak’s first major task will be building an infrastructure around the quarterback position. The Raiders hold the top pick in the 2026 NFL Draft and are widely expected to select Indiana quarterback Fernando Mendoza.
With a scheme and staff similar to Seattle’s, Mendoza would be tasked with running an identical system in which Darnold excelled. The Raiders already feature star running back Ashton Jeanty and All-Pro tight end Brock Bowers.
Seattle, meanwhile, must decide whether to promote from within or search outside the building to replace Kubiak. The timing of those decisions will accelerate once the Super Bowl concludes and teams can formally begin hiring processes.
The Seahawks’ future is set to change regardless of what happens Sunday.
