Josh Allen has been one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL for much of his professional career. The reigning NFL MVP has been dominant over the past few seasons, but he has arguably been at his best on Thursday Night Football in his career.
Here’s just how dominant the three-time Pro Bowl quarterback has been on Thursday Night Football in his eight-year NFL career.
Josh Allen Looking to Stay Undefeated on Thursday Night Football
The Buffalo Bills’ quarterback has never lost on Thursday Night Football, winning all eight games that he has started. In those eight games, the former Wyoming star has thrown for 1,940 yards with 18 touchdown passes and six interceptions.
After winning the MVP award in 2024, the 29-year-old signal-caller has not slowed down in 2025. Allen ranks as the No. 1 quarterback in PFSN’s 2025 NFL quarterback impact rankings with a 93.2 (A) score.
Through 10 games in 2025, he has completed 69.6% of his passes for 2,456 yards, 18 touchdowns, and seven interceptions, while adding 65 carries for 351 yards and 10 touchdowns on the ground.
Buffalo last played on Thursday Night Football in week three against the Miami Dolphins. They defeated Miami 31-21 in that game, with Allen completing 22 of 28 passes for three touchdowns and no interceptions, while also chipping in 25 yards on the ground on four carries.
Allen will look to keep the Thursday Night Football mojo rolling in tonight’s clash on the road against the 5-5 Houston Texans. While quarterback C.J. Stroud will miss another game with a concussion for Houston, Buffalo may have their hands full against a dominant Texans defensive unit.

Houston’s defense ranks as the No. 2 defensive unit in PFSN’s 2025 NFL defense impact rankings with an 89.7 (B) score. The stingy Texans defense has allowed the fewest points per game (16.3) and the fewest yards per game (258.1) while ranking third in both rushing (87.1) and passing (171.0) yards per game.
The Bills will have their work cut out for them against the Texans’ stout defense, with tight end Dalton Kincaid missing a second straight game with a hamstring injury, and wide receiver Keon Coleman set to be a healthy scratch for a second consecutive game for disciplinary reasons. In their absence, Allen, James Cook, Khalil Shakir, and the rest of the Buffalo offense will need to pick up the slack to secure a victory.
Buffalo will look to gain ground on the first-place New England Patriots in the AFC East and move to 8-3 on the season, while keeping Allen’s undefeated record on Thursday Night Football intact.
