The Baltimore Ravens are stumbling through one of their worst starts of the season, and head coach John Harbaugh is under the spotlight to see if things can turn around for this team. To add on to their bad start, star quarterback Lamar Jackson is down for the count. Will Harbaugh be able to rekindle this team to change their direction?
Harbaugh is a constant leader and has been loyal to the Ravens since 2008. This consistency has brought the Ravens a Super Bowl win and multiple playoff chances. Once known for their consistency, they are now struggling to find their rhythm with losses drowning their chances.
Is John Harbaugh Really to Blame for The Ravens’ Bad Start?
This team isn’t the worst in the league, but to win only one game and lose five overall is considered a poor start. And with a hamstring injury knocking out Jackson, the Ravens team starts to dwindle. The offense is limited, which means they are struggling, and the defense appears shaky. Neither is ideal for a winning team.
The team as a whole is being affected by Jackson’s injury, and holes are starting to appear; now, the coach is rumored to be blamed.
Harbaugh is under pressure because of this poor start, and now all eyes are on him to see how he adjusts his team after losing Jackson. He has all the credentials to lead this team to victory, but it is up to his performance to determine whether that future is possible.

Is the team nothing without Jackson? Do they even have a chance? With expectations of a Super Bowl presence, now the Ravens struggle even to make ends meet offensively. The pressure is on for Harbaugh to do something that will change the Ravens’ fate.
It’s hard to blame Harbaugh for their unlucky start, but that’s always something the coach has to prepare for; he is the first to blame. With multiple injuries piling up on the roster, the Ravens are in a real pickle. Key players are going down with injuries, and while the losses continue to pile up, not all the blame can be directed to the coach.
It’s been a challenging period for Ravens fans, but there still could be a spark of hope left. If the team can regain its strength and rhythm, that potential might change its fate, even though it is currently sitting with a 26th ranking and a grade of D+ according to the PFSN Offense Impact metric.
Harbaugh’s job could be in jeopardy, but it’s most likely safe given his history of commitment to the team and demonstrated leadership. The Ravens franchise has a history of loyalty to its head coaches, so the Ravens will likely keep him.
He does have his Super Bowl accomplishment, so now it’s just a waiting game to see how the Ravens will play moving forward.
