New York Jets running back Braelon Allen is busy preparing for his sophomore season in the Big Apple. Yet, he isn’t busy enough to miss the NBA playoffs, particularly the Milwaukee Bucks and their star player, Giannis Antetokounmpo.
However, the Bucks suffered their third straight first-round playoff series exit on Tuesday, April 29, and with Antetokounmpo’s name making rounds in trade rumors, Allen shared a bold message for the two-time NBA MVP.
Braelon Allen’s Bold Message for Giannis Antetokounmpo
The Bucks lost the series 4-1 against the Indiana Pacers, and many are speculating it might have been Antetokounmpo’s final game in a Bucks uniform. Rumors have already spread uncontrollably about the future of the All-Star with the Bucks failing to support him.
Thus, this loss had more than playoff implications, and it’s looking imminent that the Greek Freak would be playing for a different team next season.
Meanwhile, Allen appears to be a Bucks fan and urged Antetokounmpo to stay in Milwaukee.
“Please don’t leave @Giannis_An34 🙏🏾,” he wrote on X.

While Antetokounmpo had a good game, posting 30 points, 20 rebounds, and 13 assists in what might have been his last game as a Buck, the rest of the squad hasn’t provided consistent support to the nine-time All-Star.
Gary Trent Jr. chipped in 33 points, but his costly turnover in the final seconds led directly to Tyrese Haliburton’s game-winning layup, sealing the overtime loss.
With Damian Lillard’s recent injury and the lack of first-round picks, Milwaukee has nothing more to offer the Greek Freak, and Allen’s plea might not prove to be enough to make him stay.
Allen was drafted No. 134 overall by the Jets in the 2024 NFL Draft and made an immediate impact in New York’s offense. He scored his first rushing touchdown and first receiving touchdown in a Week 2 game against the Tennessee Titans and went on to finish the season with 334 rushing yards and two touchdowns. He also added 19 receptions for 148 yards and a touchdown.
Allen has shown flashes of brilliance in his rookie campaign and would be looking to establish himself as the starter in 2025. He will compete with Breece Hall for the starting job, but New York’s star RB could be traded this offseason, making Allen’s road a little easier.
Hall was the leading rusher for the Jets last season with 876 yards and five touchdowns. He also added 483 receiving yards and three touchdowns through the air. The Jets haven’t extended him, and even if he isn’t traded this summer, Allen may get the nod as RB1 in 2026 if he impresses next season.
