Following double surgery for a broken clavicle and a foot fracture, Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed delivered a heartfelt but comical message to fans. Still feeling the effects of medication, Reed took to social media with a bold and comical prediction for his team’s season.
This optimistic declaration comes just as Reed is sidelined indefinitely, leaving his team to chase that goal without him.
What Bold Claim Did Packers’ Jayden Reed Make After Surgery?
With the addition of edge rusher Micah Parsons, the perception of the Green Bay Packers seems to have changed. In what seemed like an eyeblink, many tout the team as a Super Bowl favorite, a far cry from early summer.
Not to mention, the addition of Parsons alleviates some of the stress placed upon the offense. Reed, a burgeoning star at wideout, underwent double surgery. While feeling no pain due to the medication, the 25-year-old took to social media to discuss something that he felt was pressing.
“Packers to the Bowl, bruh. We turned! We’re going all the fucking way,” he said on Instagram Live. Apparently, Reed believes the Packers will win the Super Bowl. Early returns show that that statement may have potential validity. At 2-0, the Packers are already a game ahead of the Vikings and Lions.

The team has responded on both sides of the ball. Green Bay boasts the sixth-best scoring offense (27 ppg) and the fourth-best scoring defense (15.5 ppg).
According to PFSN, the Packers rank seventh in offensive impact and first in defensive impact. The offense will not only score points but also efficiently, and the defense will minimize opposing scoring chances.
For all of the good news surrounding the team, the Packers could be without Reed for the foreseeable future, as Adam Schefter suggests.
Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed wound up undergoing surgery Tuesday on both a broken clavicle and a Jones fracture in his left foot. “Successful foot & clavicle surgery thank you God,” Reed posted on social media.

Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed underwent surgery Tuesday to repair both a broken clavicle and a Jones fracture in his left foot. “Successful foot & clavicle surgery, thank you God,” Reed posted on social media.
The clavicle or collarbone may not seem concerning, but the Jones fracture could be. According to WebMD, a Jones fracture is a break in the “fifth metatarsal on the outer edge of the foot.” This is basically the part of the foot that connects the pinky toe. Rest and rehab appear to be for six to eight weeks.
Now, in concert with the broken clavicle, no one knows how long that will sideline Reed. With wideouts like Christian Watson and Matthew Golden dealing with injuries, Reed’s loss during the meantime could hurt the offense. Can the Packers cobble together enough of a wide receiver group to keep winning?
