Jaxson Dart hasn’t been able to shake the spotlight since introducing President Donald Trump at a May 22 rally in New York. Shortly after, Abdul Carter publicly called him out on social media, the Giants held a team meeting to address the fallout, and Dart delivered a statement framing the appearance as rooted in patriotism and his family’s military history.
None of that quieted the noise, and now, a fresh wave of social media scrutiny has made things worse. Dart’s Instagram likes of pro-Trump content went viral last week, and his TikTok activity has since come to light. It paints an even broader picture of his political engagement that stretches well beyond a single rally introduction.
Jaxson Dart’s TikTok Reposts Reveal Pattern of Donald Trump-Aligned Content
MeidasTouch Network’s J.D. Wolf reported that Dart had reposted various posts from Trump’s 2024 political campaign. One video reposted by the Giants quarterback was around the “complaints about immigrants receiving government assistance, and included suggestions that migrants could bring crime and disease into the country.”
He also reposted a video of former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick encouraging women to vote for Trump during the elections.
According to Wolf, Dart “reposted a video from the official Team Trump TikTok account promoting Joe Rogan’s endorsement of Trump. The video highlighted comments from Elon Musk, who argued that Democrats would legalize undocumented immigrants in order to influence future elections, flip swing states, and make everywhere ‘like California.'”
The Giants quarterback also reposted videos of Aaron Rodgers endorsing Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for president while criticizing former President Joe Biden.
The Giants wanted this offseason to be about building momentum under new head coach John Harbaugh and new offensive coordinator Matt Nagy. Instead, the franchise faces a self-inflicted distraction from the face of the franchise. Dart told reporters his rally appearance was only about respecting the office of the presidency, but the accumulating social media evidence has made that framing difficult to maintain.

Dart showed real promise as a rookie in 2025, completing 63.7% of his passes for 2,272 yards with 15 touchdowns and 5 interceptions in 14 games. He also added 487 rushing yards and 9 rushing touchdowns, the most by a quarterback in the Giants’ franchise history. According to PFSN’s QB Impact Metric, he posted an impact score of 76.3, ranking 18th in the league.
The noise around Dart will follow him into training camp and into the season. Unless he plays well, he’ll be criticized on social media. The most successful franchise quarterbacks in this era tend to keep their political leanings private for exactly this reason, as they represent the entire organization and an entire fan base.
Dart will need to learn that lesson quickly because Harbaugh’s Giants are under too much pressure to perform and need to avoid all sorts of distractions.
