Jaxson Dart has found himself catching a lot of heat on social media for his role in introducing President Donald Trump at one of his rallies. Now, he’s getting more attention for his activity on his Instagram profile, which shows him liking numerous posts by Trump that express opinions on frequently debated topics.
Jaxson Dart Under Fire For Instagram Likes
After Dart was in the headlines, the internet wondered whether his rally attendance meant he was truly in support of Trump. Dart has liked plenty of Trump posts and is under fire for those likes.
The New York Giants quarterback has been seen liking posts related to Trump since 2023, before he was elected president for the second time. It wasn’t just a few posts, either; Dart follows Trump on Instagram.
Writer J.D. Wolf brought many of these likes to light and discussed Dart’s pattern of liking posts from Trump.
“The activity suggests his appearance at the rally was not an isolated or purely ceremonial moment, but part of a longer pattern of engagement with Trump’s political brand and movement,” he wrote. “One of the earliest examples came on November 1, 2023, when Dart liked a Trump video endorsing Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves.”
The likes by Dart cover a wide range of issues that hint at his political beliefs. He has liked posts about Trump’s promises to America from his presidential campaign, which included anti-migrant ideals and the promotion of federal funding cuts to schools that teach “critical race theory”, which examines systematic patterns of racism throughout history.
More recently, he liked posts of Trump getting ready for his inauguration and Trump’s remembrance of Charlie Kirk.
“Taken together, Dart’s Instagram activity undercuts claims that his rally appearance was merely ceremonial or disconnected from Trump’s political movement,” Wolf added. “The pattern of Dart’s Instagram likes shows repeated engagement with Trump’s MAGA campaign messaging and culture-war political themes over multiple years.
BE AN NFL GM: PFSN’s Ultimate GM Simulator
Dart is tasked with bringing the Giants back to relevance. The team needs him at his best, playing without distractions. If he continues to catch heat for this, it could go on for a while and create outside noise that he doesn’t need on his plate. The Giants have a new head coach and are looking to break out of the NFL basement.
The Giants will be a healthier team in 2026, as Malik Nabers will be back, Cam Skattebo is healthy, and new tight end Isaiah Likely is joining the young offense in New York.
With John Harbaugh at the helm, it’s a new era in New York, and Dart is being trusted with the keys to the franchise for now. Dart was the 18th-ranked quarterback in PFSN’s QB Impact Metric in 2025 and will have his eyes set on improving that in 2026.
Dart is facing a lot of criticism right now and will be hoping that this doesn’t cause any distractions heading into a big season.
