The Jacksonville Jaguars secured a statement victory on Sunday, defeating the Denver Broncos 34-20 and extending their winning streak to six games. Entering the game, many fans thought the Broncos would easily handle the Jaguars. Instead, the opposite happened, proving to everyone that Jacksonville is a real contender. That said, one Jaguars player made it clear after the game that he doesn’t want this victory to gather bandwagon fans.
Travon Walker Calls Out Bandwagon Fans
Following the win, Jaguars defensive end Travon Walker met with the media and didn’t hold back when addressing fans. Walker made it clear he isn’t interested in bandwagon support, saying, “Everyone is gonna try to hop on this bandwagon now. We don’t want nobody. Stay where you’re at. F*** everyone but us. Excuse my language, mom, dad and grandma. But f*** everybody but us.”
On one hand, Walker’s sentiments make sense. As mentioned earlier, no one believed in the Jaguars coming into this game. Although they were coming in off wins where they scored 36 and 48 points, everyone thought the Broncos’ defense would be able to slow them down. So, the argument could be made that the fans’ lack of belief in Jacksonville fueled them.
Walker’s comments also reflect the mentality inside the locker room. Jacksonville believes it has been building toward this moment for weeks, not just one Sunday afternoon. From that perspective, sudden praise and attention can feel hollow when they weren’t there earlier in the season.

However, with a victory of that caliber, it’s hard to deny the Jaguars as a true Super Bowl contender. Making Walker’s comments about people becoming bandwagon fans virtually impossible.
A large part of the Jaguars’ success over the past month has been the growth of Trevor Lawrence. According to PFSN’s QB impact metric, Lawrence is currently the 17th-best QB with an impact score of 75.1. This is the second-best Lawrence has ever looked, coming behind his 2022 season when he ranked as the 9th best QB with an impact score of 80.6.
Jacksonville’s win on Sunday nearly clinched a playoff spot, giving them a 99.8% chance to make the postseason and a 78.7% chance to secure the AFC South title, according to PFSN’s playoff predictor.
With upcoming games against the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans, the Jaguars control their own destiny. A win over the Colts would officially lock up the division, further validating Walker’s belief that this team has earned everything coming its way.
