Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Rachaad White has had a decent performance in the first half against the Buffalo Bills. However, despite his brilliance, the Buccaneers have also relied on another running back.
Is Buccaneers RB Rachaad White Injured?
With Buffalo, behind quarterback Josh Allen and his offensive weapons, leading 21-17 over Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers’ White had nine carries for 48 yards.
But Tampa Bay teammate Sean Tucker has been seeing more time on the field as the game has rolled along.

In the Buccaneers’ offense, Tucker has proven to be the team’s better rusher. However, White is the better receiver and pass blocker, which matters a great deal to Mayfield. White was a third-round draft choice (No. 91 overall) by Tampa Bay in the 2022 NFL Draft out of Arizona State.
For the season entering the Buffalo game, White had 87 carries for 325 yards and four touchdowns. In the PFSN NFL RB Impact metrics, White has an NFL RB Impact Score of 75.5 and grades out to a C.
As for Tucker, he’s in his third NFL season out of Syracuse. Entering the Buffalo game, Tucker has 32 carries for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
Tucker has nine carries for 71 yards, including a 48-yarder for a touchdown. Tampa Bay head coach Todd Bowles knows that the Bills’ biggest weakness is their run defense. With that in mind, Bowles is turning to his better rushing option to take advantage of Buffalo’s soft spot.
Entering Sunday’s game, according to the PFSN NFL Offense Impact metrics, the Buccaneers have an NFL Offense Impact Score of 72.5 and grade out to a C-. They are converting third- and fourth-down opportunities at a 37.5% clip.
White remains a solid asset on the field and is still getting similar numbers in carries. Since last week, though, Tucker and White have been splitting the workload for Tampa Bay. As the game goes into the second half, it will be interesting to see who gets more carries as the RB1 option behind Mayfield.
The game between Tampa Bay and Buffalo has been competitive from the get-go, so it might all come down to whose team’s running backs can deliver in clutch situations. Still, the Buccaneers are hopeful that both running backs show their best sides against the Bills on Sunday afternoon.
