Is Kyren Williams Injured? A Look at the Rams Star’s Status Amid Slow Start in Week 16 vs. Seahawks

As the Los Angeles Rams played against the Seattle Seahawks on TNF, running back Kyren Williams failed to make an impactful start.

The Los Angeles Rams need to win on Thursday Night Football against their division rival, the Seattle Seahawks. The NFC West title is on the line, and a win against the Seahawks would essentially clinch the division title.

But the Rams haven’t gotten off to the start they’ve been looking for, and their offense hasn’t been as explosive as it has been the past few weeks. Kyren Williams is off to a slow start, and they’ll need to get him going.

Kyren Williams’ Slow Start

Williams is off to a slow start on primetime. The Rams have used a hefty dose of Blake Corum as well in the first half. Williams has 12 carries for 44 yards and two receptions for 11 yards, while Corum has nine carries for 37 yards.

The Rams have tallied over 500 yards of offense in each of their last two games. If they can find that rhythm against a tough Seattle defense, they should be in business.

Williams has five touchdowns in his last five games. He is a very consistent and reliable rushing option who can be counted on to deliver if you need him to. Continuing to give him the ball could be a great strategy for the Rams to extend their lead after they scored late in the second quarter.

Williams ranks 5th in PFSN’s RB Impact metric with an impact score of 86.1. He might not be the fastest running back in the NFL, but he stays healthy and gives the Rams a consistent performance week in and week out. Over the last two seasons and in 2025, Williams has had at least 10 rushing touchdowns.

The Rams’ offense is one of the best in the NFL. Williams spearheads their rushing attack, and Matthew Stafford leads the MVP race with Puka Nacua and Davante Adams giving opposing secondaries problems.

Although the Rams are without Adams tonight, their offense has plenty of firepower to win this one. It does help to have Sean McVay, one of the smartest offensive minds, calling the plays as well.

The Rams held on to their lead after a costly Cooper Kupp fumble derailed Seattle’s two-minute drill. The next 30 minutes will be crucial for the NFC playoff picture as the Rams look to hold onto their lead and close in on the NFC West title.

They will hold the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Seahawks with a win tonight. It hasn’t been the heavyweight shootout some may have expected, but a game between two elite squads.
